I spent most of the day today traveling on business so by the time I got to my final destination I was too worn out to workout or do my exercises. My goal was to find a teeny tiny dessert that I could enjoy on the way out without blowing my diet. I had a small piece of coffee flavored chocolate and it was just the right ending to the night. My Journey to Become an Ironman. Monday, September 2, 2013. The hardest part about trying to bring yourself back into shape is how slowly you have to do it. My mind wants to go out and ride 50 miles or run for an hour but my body quickly tells me otherwise. I went to the pool yesterday afternoon for an easy swim and aquajog. It was "Community Day" at the pool which meant I got in for a dollar (yay! All of the above? Swim: 30min, 1200yds, 12x50 on 1:10, 12x50 on 1:05. Hike: 2:05, 5.7mi, 22min/mi.

My Journey to Become an Ironman. Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Getting back on the horse. Aug 29, 2010 was one of the most amazing days of my life. It was the day I completed Ironman Canada and blew away all expectations I may have had for that race. The last few miles into transition are downhill or flat so it was a great way to get ready for the run to come. I saw more friends in and around transition as I ran out onto the course. I was flying! They are the best and I love them. Finally, a race report!

Saturday morning was a full 112 mile bike ride using all of my race-day gear, followed by a 7 mile brick run. And Sunday I ran in the Los Angeles Rock n Roll Half Marathon. I just received my CompuTrainer Lab Model and am extremely excited to start working out on it. It only took a few minutes to set up the actual trainer; however, the software is a little bit tricker. I am currently working on loading it and learning how to correctly use it. It is also finals week at NU so it might longer than usual…. I’ll keep everyone posted on how CompuTrainer increases my fitness. I am excited to use it and to see the results! Back to studying neurophysiology. 4 Top-8 Ironman Arizona.
