Complaints about Seattle stickball with @Section331 and sometimes @tworsandtwols. How Did This Happen? I don’t know if this is necessary, but it could be, so that’s why it’s here. This blog is in no way, shape, or form affiliated with the Seattle Mariners, SafeCo Field, or Major League Baseball. Monday, April 13, 2009. Please keep on winning. With Ichiro about to join a 5-2 club, can we please get some more wins? If the club loses, whether it's blown saves, bad calls whatever. Ichiro will immediately get blamed by the ignorant masses as the satan-child they believe he is and countless articles and annoying comments will be made saying the team is better of without him. Let's pray they keep the winning for a while longer, if only to keep a lid on the Ichiro-haters out there. Nice Guys Finish Third.

Wednesday, June 30, 2004. No, I'm not talking about Michael Moore's latest film, I'm talking about the All Star game. My son last night reminded me to get on the Internet and submit my vote before it's too late. Nor do I factor in past seasons- only in the case of a tie breaker. To me, the All Star game is about who had the best season THIS YEAR. I know many think the opposite- they don't want half-season heroes, they want people with a track record. So anyway, go vote here. Tuesday, August 31, 2004. Exciting September at hand. Lots going on in Mariner land. Why just in the last few days we've learned-. Morse is out for personal reasons. Ugueto is out for personal reasons. Blackley is out due to injury all next year. Meanwhile the M's have won five in a row. Ichiro gets three hits, and Lopez hits yet another dinger. Moyer gives up two more to set an M's record. The Yanks get creamed. The Red Sox win. Still, with the Yanks starting pitching problems, NY fans have to be a litt...

Monday, February 28, 2005. Felix Hernandez should start in AAA. One of the most important organizational decisions this Spring will involve Felix Hernandez- namely, does he make the club or do you send him down to AAA? It is really, really important the M's get this right. Teams simply don't have Uber-prospects like this come along very often. Is he the best pitching prospect the M's have had in the teams entire history? The current M's team has plenty of pitchers to throw out there on Opening Day, so th...

Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Could be a tough series. Chicago double header today and a split would be great. I don't know about other Mariner fans but I have a bad feeling about Chicago's lineup and our pitching. We haven't been scoring many runs and it may lead to Felix being overly concerned about not giving up any, which invariable leads to crooked numbers. Would I be shocked if Chicago swept? No Would I be happy with us winning two games in the series? Figure out what to do with Clement. Swap him wi...

Friday, April 30, 2004. Is Melvin the problem? Lots of talk about Melvin right now, but how much can we pin the horrific start to the manager? How much better would the M's be if Lou were the manager? It's hard to see how a more experienced manager could get Ichiro to play like he did two years ago, or Olerud to stop the aging process, or Pinero to pitch better, or. Posted by Tom at 3:35 PM. Thursday, April 29, 2004. Downward spiral continues for M's. It's hard to even watch these games. There are so...

Thursday, September 30, 2004. Quick thoughts on last nights game. A few things that struck me about last nights game:. I wonder if Melvin still thinks Villone is the teams "MVP.". Let's hope Anaheim wins the West. Oakland fans simply don't deserve to see their team in the playoffs. Can you imagine if the M's were at home fighting for a playoff spot and Safeco was only half full? I can't either, and the fans simply don't support the A's enough to deserve seeing them get swept by the Yanks. With the Yanks ...

Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Adam Jones sure looks good. There is no way as a Mariner fan you can't have an interest in Adam Jones. There were plenty of fans who were convinced Wlad was the better power hitter and ready replacement, and the team was all to happy to insinuate Jones was expendable due to his presence. I think that fantasy has offically been put to rest. Does the fact Jones is one of the best defensive outfielders in all baseball while making next to nothing mean anything to you? It's great B...

Thursday, March 31, 2005. April Fools and Sidd Finch. With April Fools near, I would expect a few "Griffey Traded to M's" or "Beltre sent to Minors" articles tomorrow. However, all would pale in comparison to the greatest April Fools baseball article of all time- "The Curious Case of Sidd Finch". For those who are too young to remember, the NY Times has a nice article on Sidd and the Sports Illustrated article- link. Registration required, but you are a fool not to already have one). Wow, we are close.
