A big presence in a small package | Ironwood Farm

https://ironwoodfarm.wordpress.com/2015/07/21/a-big-presence-in-a-small-package

Musings from the barnyard and beyond. Laquo; still here…. July showers bring summer flowers. A big presence in a small package. A few years ago, BeBe spent a few months recovering from a stoke (and/or possibly a broken tail? Rupert buried BeBe under the oak tree in the side yard on Sunday. I expect we will be listening for her snoring and her thuds, clearing off the printer for her naps, and checking our water glasses for some time to come. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Notify me of n...

“Spring” snow and new arrival | Ironwood Farm

https://ironwoodfarm.wordpress.com/2015/03/22/spring-snow-and-new-arrival

Musings from the barnyard and beyond. Laquo; First Day of Spring. 8220;Spring” snow and new arrival. Well, it’s the second full day of Spring. Although the signs of the season may not be immediately obvious, a trip to the barn reminds us that Easter weekend is around the corner. I haven’t been able to get a good shot of them, as they are always throwing themselves at you – full force – to see if you might, by chance, have a bottle in your hand, or pocket, or sleeve. Sylvia (who is a good mom, but has bee...

wintery days | Ironwood Farm

https://ironwoodfarm.wordpress.com/2015/02/16/wintery-days

Musings from the barnyard and beyond. Laquo; The first snow day …. The year of the ram. I hope, wherever you are, that the wind is not howling too loudly, and the drifts have not piled too high. After lots of rain and soggy pastures keeping the sheep out of the fields for much of the first part of winter, we’ve been hit by a crazy amount of snow in recent weeks. Something else to keep the sheep in the barns. The sheep are tolerating it, and, so far, are not trying to venture out across the drifts. Which ...

Bonnies Thoughts and Jots. Monday, July 25, 2011. Can't just let them in, as they only want a few. Too numerous to count. I am also taken with rocks and fossils, especially after visiting Parrsboro, though I've always collected beach rock, and like the smoothness and beauty of them after they have been polished. I thought this little guy was cute. The rocks tell a story, you just have to know how to read it. This shows a seam of coal, at Joggins. Saturday, July 9, 2011. These are picture of my ". I am lo...

Bonnie's Thoughts & Jots: September 2011

http://bonniethoughtsjots.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Bonnies Thoughts and Jots. Tuesday, September 6, 2011. I guess it's about time. I am behind in reading the blogs I follow, and thus, have a lot of reading ahead, though I probably won't catch up. My daughter tells me it is time to get some of the things I've been doing in the past few weeks up on this blog. I know this won't be done in one sitting but here goes. Dawn is an expert in putting up the tent, but Heather and I did try to help. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Nicholsville, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The little guy on the left is Tipper, and on the right, partly obscured by Sadie's hairy head is Tilly. They, the bears had a bit of an adventure today. They decided to go bird watching. Later, Tipper pretended he was a brown bird, but he didn't attract any feathered friends, so he got even more daring. Sunday, January 30, 2011.

Bonnie's Thoughts & Jots: Perhaps.....

http://bonniethoughtsjots.blogspot.com/2015/05/perhaps.html

Bonnies Thoughts and Jots. Monday, May 11, 2015. Perhaps it is time to start blogging again. The urge has moved me to tap the keys and write. I have been doing a lot of thinking during the last few weeks, and my poor little brain is quite tired. Perhaps taking those floating words, and writing them down will give my brain a rest. Yesterday was Mother's Day, and I enjoyed a wonderful time with my girls. We went out to lunch at a little restaurant called The Naked Crepe. Delicious! And more buds and blooms.
