Monday, October 27, 2014. Surgery and cancer details. I have to begin this post by saying a huge, giant, colossal THANK YOU. It hasn't even been quite a week and we have been so overwhelmed with charity. I think I am more in shock about how giving and kind all of you are than Nate's cancer! I know that this is a time in our lives to receive, BUT, if I can ever do anything for you guys PLEASE don't hesitate to ask! This post is just a list of the details.no tissues needed ;). I hope that everyone can gain...

Down South: "a more excellent way"
http://kaceeandnate.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-more-excellent-way.html
Monday, July 13, 2015. A more excellent way". Let's catch up, yeah? First and foremost, I should mention Nate's doctor appointment back in May. He had his baseline scan for his cancer. I am EXTREMELY happy to report that everything looks good! No signs of the cancer coming back and things were still healing well! And on with life we did. As many know, we have had some massive ch, ch, changes around here! If imma be real though, when Nate first applied for the job, I wasn't all that thrilled. I am an ...

Thursday, July 24, 2014. Katharine always keeps me honest about updating this here blog. So, as always, this one goes out to you me dear K. Showalter. I actually have been thinking of writing a blog for sometime now. But I can never quite get the thoughts in my mind quite clear enough to have them make sense to the general population. Like the 5 people that actually read this thing care though, right? So, without further adieu. Lets start with the 'low' first, yes? Nate lost his job. We are totally fine&...

Down South: I Guess I'd Better Write Something
http://kaceeandnate.blogspot.com/2014/11/i-guess-id-better-write-something.html
Thursday, November 13, 2014. I Guess I'd Better Write Something. Lately I've been feeling a bit like Willy Wonka, an aloof character surrounded by a vigorous support staff orchestrating a massive marketing campaign, without him ever being present. Then, just a week later. There's no easy way to put this but.you have cancer.". And that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.". November 13, 2014 at 4:42 AM. I hope all goes well. November 13, 2014 at 8:54 AM.

Friday, November 28, 2014. I stand all amazed. It has been exactly 2 weeks since Nate's surgery. I have been meaning to write this post for awhile now. I really haven't had much time to sit and write.and even when I did, I didn't know what all to say. These past 2 weeks have been, well, life changing - to say the least. Some of the changes were harder than expected. How are you becoming stronger? And although I don't have a solid answer to those questions, I do know this:. I stand all amazed. I think of ...

Wednesday, March 4, 2015. I apologize for the lack of blogging (I seem to always be saying that.). I always think about writing a post but the actual act of doing it takes me forever to get around to. As most know, NATE IS DONE WITH TREATMENT! A week ago he finished and it was possibly the best day of our lives! February 24th is the day that, as far we know, he is officially cancer free! You def can believe we will be celebrating every Feb. 24th for the rest of our lives! We are very grateful for that.

Friday, July 17, 2015. As a boys' name is pronounced. It is of French. Origin, and the meaning of Ames is "friend. The name may be related to the Latin. Amor", or may have referred to those who lived near elm trees. Or may be a variant of Amos. I loved the meaning of Ames from the get go. But as time goes on, I love it even more. It truly fits him perfectly. Moving to Pocatello has been both way great and way hard. Great because we are finally progressing in life which means that Nate is healthy! A few d...

Wednesday, April 29, 2015. If any of you follow Nate or me on social media you've probably noticed our last month has been a lot busier than usual. And good gracious, it's been a fun busy. Here's the short list:. I turned a quarter of a century and Nate decided to spoil me rotten. Road tripped to San Fran with my sister, Heidi, to party with my sister J.Fresh and run a 5k PR (17:45)! Celebrated Easters which included General Conference. Went to the lush and beautiful ATL after being away for 3 years!
