The (Mis)Adventures of Matt Lyon: February 2006
http://mattlyon.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
The (Mis)Adventures of Matt Lyon. Monday, February 20, 2006. Lost in the Great White Open. The snow has melted, but I don't think that it is Spring just yet. Work is going well, I'm working with the theater a lot. I really enjoy entertaining the kids and meeting them after wards. Many of them are so excited to meet a foreigner and practice their English! They were eventually run out by the Hussites, I think. But there is still a group of them in Austria. Posted by Matt Lyon @ 5:21 AM 6 comments.

Make out with a fellow counselor with barbeque sauce all over our faces. The next two weeks will be teaching adults for 3 or 4 hours a day and then I have the rest of the day off to do what I want, which will most probably entail hiking and backpacking in the mountains. I'm pumped. What else has been going on? Posted by Matt Lyon @ 5:29 AM 3 comments.

The Awkward Toad: Natural Habitat: April 2006
http://awkwardtoad.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
The Awkward Toad: Natural Habitat. Friday, April 21, 2006. Britain's Labour party reported today that it spent a total of $13,700 in hairstyling costs for Tony Blaire's wife, Cherie, during last year's reelection campaign. I could live on that money for a year and a half. Give it to me. I'll prove it. I'm cheap. Here did the money in her pocket come from? She is an unemployed spouse of an elected official that is paid with public dollars, euros, whatever they use over there, tea leaves.). Book Depository...

The (Mis)Adventures of Matt Lyon. Tuesday, January 26, 2010. On the way to Chiang Mai. OK so its been a while since I've emailed and a lot has happened. So, where'd I leave off? The next day we got to the train station to head for Lopburi. 13 Baht for a 90 minute train ride. That is 35 cents, people. We were so proud of our travel prowess until the train rolled up overflowing with human flesh. Hot, sticky, grabby, dirty human flesh! But we successfully made our way to Lopburi, the land of monkeys! Well, ...

The (Mis)Adventures of Matt Lyon. Tuesday, April 26, 2005. Leaving the United States of Mind Part II. We get off the train and ask the nearest cabbie where Hotel Mattenhof is and he actually points us in the right direction without selling his service AT ALL! We stumble across the whole city, luggage in tow and come upon a woman (that could have been any of our mothers) walking a dog at 11.30 at night. "Mattenhof? You're here, man! http://mattlyon.blogspot.com/2010/02/vientiane-and-vang-vieng.html
The (Mis)Adventures of Matt Lyon. Saturday, February 20, 2010. Vientiane and Vang Vieng. Thailand was a blast, but we must leave it for now and head for Laos. The overnight trip was a bust. Minivan 12 deep and mostly asshole Australians. This might be a good time to speak about the different backpackers in Southeast Asia. They are divided not necessarily evenly into 4 groups:. 1) Piece of shit Aussies traveling from party town to party town, making a mockery of them and all places in between. Vientiane i...
