Whom Can We Trust? Posted on May 18th, 2015. Fide sed cui vide. Says a famous Latin quote: trust, but be careful whom you trust . I was first exposed to this sentence during my studies at the Göttingen university. Studying law there wasn’t a small thing, as I was walking in the steps of a long, impressive list of prestigious alumnis. Some having helped put in place the influential German law system. Put your pride aside and. But on the other hand, if they’re themselves to be trusted, you’ll i...In India,...

Coffee – Boon or Bane? Posted on November 22nd, 2014. My regular day starts at 07:30 am with a glass of fresh wheat grass juice followed by a green and fruit smoothie at 10:30 am. Then it’s time for a Cappuccino! Fresh air, wind in the trees, a cup of Cappuccino in your hand…. Breathe, drink, and breathe… This is living, and it’s something more and more only a Cappuccino lover can understand. I thoroughly enjoy the pleasure of drinking my cappuccino – my real kick start of the day! Making a good espresso.

Abroad As you want it. Posted on November 20th, 2014. Abroad As you like it. Why does a person leave his native country? Ever since I’ve settled in South India, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with varied people who fit in the dynamics mentioned above, and sadly I have seen a big share of them getting lost in the overwhelming schemes of a new way of life. How easy it is to see India as nothing but a dirty, noisy, corrupted country! Here the question that arises for me is this – if these expats are...

Who can handle the Bermuda Triangle? Posted on January 5th, 2015. They say teaching is both the most challenging and rewarding job ever and they may be right, but managing an international school may stand right next to it! You’re the captain of the ship, and it’s not a yacht I’m talking about here, more like a liner! How do they perceive their school, their teachers, the education they’re being given? Are they bored or stimulated? Parents are, well… parents! Don’t laugh; it really sums it all up! They&#...

Indeed, a Palace of Grandeur. Posted on November 25th, 2014. It always feels good to be back in India and to focus on my next move, the expansion network of our schools. Being bilingual boosts brain power and sparks creativity! Posted on December 4th, 2014. It’s been a while ever since as the story goes “God” destroyed the Tower of Babel and gave each man a different language, but every day seems to bring us closer to a new Tower of Babel that is, globalization. I’ll just gladly quote this very beautiful sentence by Ellen Bialystok and Kenji Hakuta, from their book In Other Words: “the knowledge of two languages is greater than the sum of its parts”. So when I first had ...

Je suis Thomas…. Posted on January 19th, 2015. When I was a teenager, I was invited to do my communion, a Catholic ritual that all my classmates went through without questioning its meaning. Thing was that I didn’t believe in God. And even admitting He existed, did He really care whether I’d go through such a ritual ornot? So I looked at the priest and asked him What’s in it for me? The poor man stared at me, speechless, left and never mentioned it again. Were all my classmates pious teenagers? What̵...
