Koolhoven has decided to break with the traditional way of portraying the Second World War. In ‘Winter in Wartime’ we are going to be on the skin of the thirteen-year-old Michiel and are going to experience all the action and choices he has to make.

Op vrijdagavond 27 januari. De speelfilm van Van Rompaey maakt in Rotterdam deel uit van het programma Bright Future, waarbij nieuw talent zijn eerste of tweede film vertoont. Internationaal in première in Toronto en werd onder andere vertoond op festivals in Palm Springs, Gent en Warschau. NFF ondersteunt De Surprise.
