Wednesday, March 23, 2011. The most important aspect of chapter 6-10 in my opinion is the embodiment of the 7 deadly sins. I found it interesting the minute lucifer mentioned visiting them to fautus. I was a bit dissapointed in the fact that marlowe did not describe their physical appearances. I really wanted to see how he described them visually. March 23, 2011 at 9:28 PM. Monday, February 28, 2011. I am updating my blog's scheme so I can get into the spring spirit. I think it will be medieval, or a jungle. Havent decided yet. The semester so far has been ok. Sunday, March 20, 2011. Dr Faustus Scene V. The thing that stands out to me most is Mestophiles. He seems very very important. Fautus was insistent on having him serve him instead of lucifer. Even hastily signing away his body and soul to command him. perhaps since it is the first supernatural being he has become enticed by him somewhat. The part in the contract about in 24 years body and soul would be taken to lucifer, does that mean he only lives 24 years more, in exchange for infernal power?

Friday, April 1, 2011. Gender Roles- April 1. Gender roles within todays readings really stuck out at me. I think that marketing has a lot to do with it. If people are broadly categorized and forced in stereotypical roles, its easier for companies to target individuals and market a product to them. A pro to this thinking is that its easy to find gifts for people that are socially acceptable. (if you get a boy a toy tank, instead of a barbie doll it is socially acceptable! I really hate it an awful lot.
