Our Journey with Isaiah: October 2014

http://www.isaiahsleukemiajourney.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Our Journey with Isaiah. October 21, 2014. Isaiah's toe is getting better and it looks so much better than it did a week ago. It is still not completely healed, but we are on the right track and we are grateful for your prayers! With that in mind, I would love prayers for him for his appointments over the next couple weeks because it is hard for him to understand why we have to go so often. Thank you for lifting him and our family up in prayer regarding these things. Praise the Lord for answered prayers!

Last week at the clinic. Getting IV fluids and antibiotics. Not feeling very well means another trip to the clinic. More IV fluids and antibiotics. Feeling a little better today. January 8, 2015. January 2, 2015. He is happy that we don't have to do any more IV antibiotics! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Our Journey with Isaiah: April 2015

http://www.isaiahsleukemiajourney.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Our Journey with Isaiah. April 16, 2015. Today we went to the hospital for Isaiah's routine lumbar puncture and chemo infusion. It had been four weeks since our last appointment, so it was very nice to have a small break from his doctor visits. Isaiah has grown a little bit and so with that comes an increase in his steroid dose. Please pray that he will be able to adjust well on the higher dose. Getting ready for his lumbar puncture. All ready. Just waiting for the doctors and nurses.

Our Journey with Isaiah: Reality Check

http://www.isaiahsleukemiajourney.blogspot.com/2015/05/reality-check.html

Our Journey with Isaiah. May 13, 2015. Please pray for protection for Isaiah's organs and his overall health, and also for the long term side effects that can come from having to be on chemo. We understand the reality of what chemo can do, both the good and the bad. We are so grateful to know and rest in the truth that God is in control of Isaiah's future. Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God." - Corrie ten Boom. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Do not be afraid, for I am with you.

Our Journey with Isaiah: February 2015

http://www.isaiahsleukemiajourney.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Our Journey with Isaiah. February 5, 2015. I took Isaiah in for blood work yesterday. His doctor wanted to see how he was adjusting to his chemo and also see if they could increase Isaiah's dose. His blood work was great and so they did go ahead with increasing the dosing on his medications. We also don't have to go back to the clinic for two weeks! That is a huge answer to prayer because in the last two months we have been to the clinic or hospital 13 different times. (Yes, I am worn out.).

Kester Family: March 2009

http://kesterfamily-eva.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 13, 2009. Sophie washing her car. On Monday, we went to the zoo with my mom. It was perfect weather and the kids had a great time! These lemurs were so cute. The dad kept trying to take the baby away from the mom, and whenever he did, she would hit him. It was really funny to watch. I guess even lemurs have some family drama! How tall are you? I may hate house cats (sorry Lea and Dottie! Noah sitting on the bear cubs. Baby elephants are so cute! We enjoyed spending alone time together.

Kester Family: Flooding and a New Car!

http://kesterfamily-eva.blogspot.com/2009/05/flooding-and-new-car.html

Friday, May 1, 2009. Flooding and a New Car! Well, a couple weeks ago, we had a major rain storm that flooded our neighborhood streets. We were coming home from the movies, and when we tried to drive onto our street, the van stalled. Yes, we know it was a bad decision, but too late! Robby and the neighbors pushed the car into someone's driveway, while the kids and I swam home. Not really, but there was a good foot of water. We are enjoying it! Robby and the neighbors pushing the car out of the water.

Kester Family: December 2008

http://kesterfamily-eva.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 10, 2008. The other day when I went into Sophie's room to look for her, I found her like this. Thursday, December 4, 2008. After a lot of hard work (we decided to do all the work ourselves), Noah and Sophie's rooms are finally done after the damage from Hurricane Ike. They are excited to have their rooms back, but I think Robby and I are even more excited that we have our room back.to ourselves, that is. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Thursday, April 2, 2009. On March 14, Robby and I ran our first 10K race in downtown Houston. It was a huge race with over 3,000 people running! Some dressed up in costumes. We had a lot of fun even though it was freezing cold! Robby finished before me so he ran back to the car to get the camera. Great job - keep on running. April 15, 2009 at 10:16 PM. Kester Family: Kid's Birthdays

http://kesterfamily-eva.blogspot.com/2009/05/kids-birthdays.html

Friday, May 1, 2009. This is a little delayed, but here are some pictures of the kids birthdays. Sophie turned 4 on April 7th and Noah turned 7 on April 10th. We had a lot of friends join us at the park for a fun, windy birthday party. At least it didn't rain! Noah was super excited about getting Star Wars Legos! The kids wanted dirt cups instead of a cake. Playing "pass the death star", like hot potato. The girls played pin the crown on the princess. The boys played pin the gun on the storm trooper.

Monday, October 13, 2008. The other day, we were driving to get ice cream when Sophie suddenly said, "Abba and Ima, Sophie is a hard name to say, so you can just call me Princess." We couldn't even respond we were laughing so hard! Last weekend we went to Dewberry Farms for a day of fun! They had a huge corn maze which had the faces of Obama and McCain carved into it. The kids enjoyed all the rides and picking out a pumpkin. Picking the perfect pumpkin. On the hayride back to farm. On the corn train.

Growing up with Isaiah and Melora

Growing up with Isaiah and Melora. Sunday, July 05, 2009. To "air" is human. Last night we were enjoying corn on the cob and grilled chicken outside when Isaiah suddenly announced. "Hey guys, my bum just blowed some air." Michael and I were sadly unsurprised by this topic of conversation, as bodily functions are unfortunately common dinnertable discussion in our house. So," Michael asked rather rhetorically, "did you toot? No" Isaiah replied, "I just aired.". Monday, June 22, 2009. Apples Make You Happy.

Melissa's random thoughts

Wednesday, February 4, 2009. I can't title these. Dyed yarn again last week. Fun! Isaiah had a fever most of last week. Not fun. Everything else is about the same. Still plugging away at Joe's sweater (sleeves), though I don't feel like I'm making much progress. Friday, January 23, 2009. Isaiah is spending the night at his grandparent's again (my parents) next Wednesday. It will be nice to have an evening to myself, though I'll go to my knitting group, then come home and well, I don't know. I'm planning ...
