So apparently, the Diva Race has sold out - OMG, I'm SO doing that next year! But I'm going for the Brazen Racing event - Western Pacific 10k! Http:/ www.brazenracing.com/westernpacific.html. That's like twice around the lake. can i do it close to 1.5 hours? Also, i found a 5k race, August 19th - San Diego, here i come! Cold weat...

Celebrating little successes is as much a part of the process as is crossing the finish line. Yesterday, Monday, i got my ass up at 6:10 in the morning, and ran/walked the lake. This morning, i woke up at 5:50 to meet DeeDee at the lake and walked it. I closed my eyes as i was walking and practically wanted to lay down on a bench and take a nap! My sister and a friend told me that that's gonna happen at first, and that i'll get used to it. i hope i stick with it long enough to get used to it! Great to ha...

It's January. time to train! I haven't had a car since July and i've lost at least 8 pounds. i weighed myself at the end of the day (after dinner) and was 242#s - i weighed myself this morning, and i was 239.5#s - WHOOHOO! Hahahaha. i'm back in the 30s! I chatted with my sister this morning:. Me: so guess what? I'm in my 30's! I've been going back and forth from 245, to 250 and then when i was really fit, it was 242. Me: i was 242 last night after dinner. Kay: then you pooped. It was a really big banana.

This is a LONG ASS ENTRY. but it really is more for me than for you. so deal. ;P i'm normally more of a list type person, but because this is my first tri EVER, i decided on a narrative format. ME=DORK, so i hope you enjoy reading. When:April 17, 2010 - 8am first wave. What:Triathlon - SWIM 100yd - BIKE 2.6mi - RUN 2.1mi. Personal Goal:Complete a triathlon - ANY triathlon.

201307.20 - Pleasanton Tri for Fun #2. My results from 2013 Tri for Fun #2! Place: 219/220 (I'm not last! Start: 07:28:14.0 (3rd Wave). 400 yard Swim: 00:15:40.7. 10 mi Bike: 00:42:55.4. 3 mi Run: 00:55:13.9. Total Time: 01:58:12.3 33. Both my swim and T1 time is a lot shorter than i thought it was. I was thinking my swim took at least 25 minutes, and my T1 felt like it was at least 8 minutes long! The run could have been faster, but i didn't train. like, at all for this. And then there was the BBQ!
