I was aware that the commitment I had made would be difficult to fulfill, but I was prepared to live through the tension and the struggle in order to find my place in the Kingdom. But this move feels so much different than the last. One year ago, my life was full of open ends and questions. What would my job be like? Who would my friends be? Where would I go next?

I first read it on a poster I bought from the FMLN office in El Salvador. I'm not very good at translating, here's the basic gist:. Ella está en el horizonte. (She is on the horizon). Me acerco dos pasos, (I move two steps closer). Ella se aleja dos pasos. (And she walks two more steps). Y el horizonte se corre (I walk ten steps).
