Saturday, November 1, 2014. I know it's been awhile since i posted here. But since we opened our restaurant i have been busy there. The house is holding up well and i hope tp finish some painting and trim soon. I will try to get here more often but if you want to see what else we have been up to. Sunday, January 19, 2014. Our tribute is complete! Thursday, January 9, 2014. I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Our restaurant has been keeping us real busy and the cold is keeping us near the fire. If you get a chance we are now on facebook at Shemps Cafe, check us out! Thursday, August 29, 2013. Awning removal and deck cleaning. Monday, August 26, 2013. I graded the area where i put the window well. It has a nice pitch away from the house now. I also installed a steering stabilizer to the dump truck to make it steer easier. Brakes work good now that i fixed them and it runs pretty good too. Going down to work on the store tomorrow! Monday, March 24, 2014. We got some new signs made up for Shemp's. Also 3 new picnic tables for the deck! Sunday, March 23, 2014. I want to give back! Since my last post , i filled out an application to join our towns volunteer fire company. Since we bought our restaurant in Cairo ,W.V. the town has really supported us. I want to dedicate time to helping them when they need it . There's a background check , vote in , then training . I'm up for the challenge! Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Firefighter for a day!

Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Today i purchased a dump truck for the farm. I saw this and had to have it , the price was right too! It's a 1951 Willys dump truck and everything works! It was a stake body converted into a dump. It's got a 302 , 3 speed stick, 4wheel drive, it will go thru anything and the paint job is cool. Check out the pictures. Monday, May 13, 2013. Saturday, July 6, 2013. So the other night my dogs started barking around 11:00pm. I get out of bed and see two lights shining onto our pasture. I get out of bed , grabbed shotgun and out i go. I yell out " what the f* k you doing out there? He answers " Curt it's Roy, my bull got out" . I was relieved that it was my neighbor and i didn't have to shoot anyone.
