ブログの「釣りサトゥン」の中にタルタオ島の記事が沢山あるが、その中の「5番」だの「9番」だの一体どこなんだ？とお思いの方。 タルタオ島西岸には、アオ･ソンという長いビーチを挟んで両側に西に突き出した部分がある。 北側の部分が1番～6番磯、南側の部分が7番～12番磯だ。 それでは僕の好きなポイントを紹介していこう。まず1番磯から6番磯まで。 65279; バンガローのあるモ・レーの浜の北側に１番、南側に2番の磯が広がる。 実績のあるのは2番磯。ここは浜から歩いて行けそうだが、実際には傾斜した岩礁がハナレになっていてボートで攻めるしかない。 65279;. プラー･モン、クイーン･フィッシュ、バラクーダと多彩な魚が姿を見せる。 北側の珊瑚礁は起伏に富み、ハタを含めて期待できる。全方向にキャストしよう。 そして波が洗う岬の先端部、浅い水道、ワンド。 型は小さいが、全ての場所でプラー・モンの実績がある。 南側はゴロタ浜の先にもう一群の地味な岩場があるが、ここでも食ったことがある。投げてみよう。 65279;. そんなんでポイントと言えるのか、との御意見もあろうが&...

船主のステフニー･ママは「昨日はマーリン2発掛けたけど獲れなかったのよ。頑張ってきてね」と皆を激励した。 6時出船、やや波あり。船がバンバン跳ねるのでホント疲れる。トローリングのため低速走行に入るとほっとする。 艫でのファーストヒットはキメジのようだ。僕はミヨシでHalcoのポッパーをキャスト。数投しても反応が無い。 こういう時は泳層が深い。ジギングに切り替えて50mから探ってくるゴン、キューン。いいね。キメジ60cm。 早速締めて肩の肉をナイフでえぐって朝食だ。何もつけなくても酸味があって旨いね～。 トローリングの次のヒットも一緒。ポッパーで食わずジギングにヒット。でもギューンと走って80lbリーダーが一発切れ。 まだこの時は「納得いかんな～、普通切れるか？2000円のジグロストくっそ～」と思っていた。 トローリングのさらに次のヒット、ジギングで予定通りキメジ60cmをキャッチ、2匹目。 キメジの生肉とまだ動いている心臓をむしゃむしゃ食べていたら、他の客が「君はそんなん食って酔わんのかね」と(爆). 晩秋となり水温が下がったためかカツオが姿を消し、ゲームフィッシュはキハダのみとなっている。跳ねてなくても、トローリングにヒットしてボートが止まった時にジグを落とせば大抵釣れる。テクニックも糞もなく釣れる。居れば釣れるとかキハダを馬鹿にしてはいけない。引き強くスピードは魚類最高を誇る。毎日刺身で食べて飽きない。最近はリーダーを100lbにしたので全然切られなくなった。あとは大きいのが掛かってくれればいいんだけどね。 この日は66cmがジギングに2連発。他の客から、「いいな～、ジギングってどーするのよ？教えてよ」と頼まれた。 タックルを渡してやらせてみると「左ハンドル無理！」と即降参。はいはい、次回右ハンドルのタックル貸してあげるからw. この週末はうれしい新顔スコッツマンが釣れた。フエフキのような顔をしているがタイ科、Polysteganus praeorbitalis。 今までも釣れていたのだが、サイズリミット40cmに達せず常に放流だった。今回は51cm(2.2kg)でお持ち帰り。 Place : Shelly Beach, KZN RSA. 船頭が釣ったのは60cm弱の良型ソルジャーで、...

上2本が550円、400g。一番上やつの腹でご覧のとおり旧式のリア重心。それに何か微妙に曲がってるし。 中2本が600円、一応センターバランス。これも400gだ。全てフック付だが、針先にバリがあるという代物で…。 つまり、竿でジグをシャクリ上げ、下ろしながらラインを巻き取ります。 ひとたび正しいタイミングを覚えたら、そのテクニックは体に染みつき、ペース配分も自在となります。 ジグの重さを選択するときの目安があります。潮流にもよりますが、水深の3倍から4倍のグラム数のものを選びましょう。 例えば水深100mなら300g～400gのジグ、50mなら150g～200gのジグということです。 ここに書かれた方法はワンピッチワンジャーク（シャクリと巻きを同時に行う）ではない。随分ゆっくりした動きになるだろう。 そして水深に比べての異様なジグの重さ。これは理解できる。南アフリカの釣り人は6号ぐらいのPEを使う。 2014年より南アフリカ駐在。KFC･OB会所属 S58投. 初釣りはシェリービーチから出た。初同行が二人というのが嬉しい。Kittyさんは銛漁からの転戦、日本でジギング道具一式を新たに買い揃えてきた。Hさんは日本で使っていたジギング道具を南アに初投入。ご両名とも現地到着までは気合が入っていたが、例の臭くて不潔な貸ライフジャケットが顔や首に接触して一気にトーンダウン(笑)。ボートは霧のため30分遅れて出港した。 潮が冷たいからトローリングは無しらしい。それはいいが見たことのない代理船頭で、凪なのに沖に行こうとしない。リーフ内側の浅場でやるんだと。水深30m台。ジギング向きの場所じゃないなぁ。様子を見るためKittyさんが餌釣り、Hさんと僕がジギングで開始した。餌釣りは底にびっしりいる小鯛が次々食い、釣っては放しの繰り返し。ジギングは赤いエソがぼつぼつ掛かるだけ。 ということで南アジギング鮮烈デビューの同行者二人はご満悦で帰港した。Hさんは「あんな大きいハタは久しぶり」、Kittyさんは「I love jigging、ハマりました！」と。え&...Place : Shelly Beach, KZN, RSA. 12月24日、ウムコマース河口からフィレッ...
