I offered to help out the students at the college where I work, because they needed a staff person/coach to go along for a triathlon. Well little did I know, I'd be competing! Katie and Nick welcomed their beautiful brand new baby, Rori, into the world last Sunday. She is so teeny and delicate. Geoff and I gave the new parents a MEC baby backpack, for when she gets a bit older so they can take her hiking, and also be the hip parents you see at farmer's markets and such! It all started when I arrived at work and my door was decorated with banners, pinatas, and ribbons, oh boy. There was cake too, with boiled icing, yay! Everyone said Katie shouldn't go camping at six months pregnant. Did she listen? We went to Kejimkujik National Park (my first time there) and had a grand time.
