Sunday, March 23, 2008. On 2103.2008 Turan Baba and Merve were watching the news on the TV. There was a festival taking place in Diyarbakır, a town in Southeastern Turkey composed of a majority Kurdish population. The people broadcasted on the news were celebrating Navuz. I asked her what had happened. She was upset at the situation and surprised that the police had not put an end to the affair.
