Trying to figure out what life is all about. October 3, 2011. Today’s thought comes from a poem that I recently read. I was angry with my friend:. I told my wrath, my wrath did end. I was angry with my foe:. I told it not, my wrath did grow. This is just the first verse from this poem. I read it the day after I had a verbal altercation with a co-worker over a very petty mishap. This verse made me think…. Why would I spend so much time trying to make someone else feel bad about my feeling threatened?

A Poem A Day. Exploring Poetry Through Art and Words. October 14, 2011. When I was a mother, I had so much motivation. I had a goal, an established destination. Raise the kids, make them productive. Be the perfect mother, don’t dress too seductive. The days were long, some nights were longer. Life would knock me down, I would get up stronger. The bills were paid, the meals cooked. No loving duty was overlooked. I had so much love for those in my home. Now that they are gone, and I am left alone.
