Ah yes, the day after a race. Always fun. The first step out of bed is pretty comical. Yesterday was the first of four triathlons I have lined up this summer, the Twin Lakes Sprint Triathlon. I finished and finished happy. I somehow put my wetsuit on, made my way to transition, and got ready for the 6:42am start.

That is just a start to the Chicago season. This "5k" I completed was good. Boring, but good. The pace was just about a minute faster than my time last year, so that's also exciting. Triathlon coaching, who me? I was approached by the fitness director at the Leaning Tower YMCA. To coach the beginning triathlon training group on Saturday mornings. I currently teach a group cycle class on Wednesday evenings there so I am familiar with the facility and staff. But whoa, me? I can't believe I'm their "go-to" gal!

I could blame it on the winter blues or work schedule that doesnt allow me to go to my favorite classes but the reality is that Ive just been plain unmotivated. But that has changed. Over the weekend, I was sorting mass quantities of clothes (mostly too big now) and discovered a bathing suit that I had purchased for a vacation 5 years ago. And havent worn since. I Still Wanna Be A Kid. Monday, June 28, 2010. Oh man. 2 weeks goes by quite fast. Probably zm would agree with me that we only have 1 week worth of hoils. And maybe some didnt even have hoils. Screw the YOG that screws up with our timetable. Well first day was fine i guess. No pressure no nothing. A little scared about OOP now if you really know what i'm scared about. Ok well jl, hw and zd spent the nite over at my place at the last day of the hoils. We also went to eat arnold's chicked which was awesome.
