Solitude, a challenge that pushes you past what you think you can do, and epic scenery. This is something you can't get from the viewing areas. It feels like you versus the canyon. For any of you hardware engineers or applications engineers out there, this is a very useful and interesting read about how your 4.7uF capacitor can behave like a 0.33uF capacitor at 85C, which of course is exactly what you don't want to do.
