Marzotica - Italian Cheese. Marzotica our grating cheese. Marzotica is excellent when grated over pasta and on strips of stir-fry beef with balsamic vinegar, tomato and rocket. This cheese can be grilled in a frying pan as one would grill houlami, or used in a fresh salad like you would use feta cheese. If you have chilly jam or some other favourite chutney you can spread a veil of it over the cheese as it is well adapted to blend with other flavours. It's also excellent for pizza.

Food and fun around New Zealand. On the weekend of 4-6 August, Gaby and I made our first trip south of Christchurch to Lake Tekapo. We met up with our friends Dave and Elizabeth for a weekend of fun exploring the area. We left Christchurch early Friday afternoon so we could see the countryside in daylight. From Christchurch we traveled south on State Highway 1. When we reached Rangitata we turned off onto State Highway 79 through Geraldine to Fairlie. Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear.

Aside from the supplejack, we encountered cabbage trees, lancewood, tree ferns, kauri, and many other beautifully green and luscious plants.
