Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Both Grace and Glen got to experience the joy of waving palm branches in church on Palm Sunday. So after church I got a few pictures of them (in case the Easter pictures flopped). We got to go to the Harrisonburg Easter egg hunt. Grace saw a child that did not get any eggs, and with the prompting of Matt she willingly gave one of her eggs to the little girl. I was so happy that she was so willing. It was a great celebration. Monday, November 17, 2014. A Trip To The Farm. Mike and Amy have a Chinese exchange student so they are desiring to give him as many experiences that are new to him in Virginia that he would not get in the big city of Beijing. We have a distant cousin who owns and runs a dairy farm. She lives a few miles away from my mom and dad's house. So one Sunday afternoon we decided to visit her to see the process of milking. It was delicious, healthy, and easy to make. I found the recipe on the Fine Cooking. Roasted Broccoli and Farro Salad with Feta. 3/4 cup farro (either pearled or whole-grain). 3 Tbs extra-virgin olive oil. 1/2 cup crumbled feta. 2 scallions, thinly sliced. Pinch crushed red pepper flakes. 1 Tbs red wine vinegar; more as needed.
