The Koomen Five: October 2008
http://koomen5.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2008. How Life is Measured? By the amount of "sleeps". I am now going to live as my 3 1/2 year old does, by the amount of sleeps left until something great will take place. This was the best week for "how many sleeps until? How many sleeps until the Halloween Parade? How many sleeps until daddy gets home? How many sleeps until trick-or-treat? How many sleeps until Caitlin's party at school? How many sleeps until. to be continued". It is so much fun anticipating the inevidable. Caitlin...

The Koomen Five: January 2009
http://koomen5.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Gettin' a Little Behind. Okay Girl Scout Cookies, broken arm, missing dog, and snow. I may be a little behind on blogging, but not low on stories. I made it to Carson's preschool open house last week. Once again I enjoyed being the parent and not the teacher. I sat there trying to figure out just how to pry his little fingertips from his carseat. Winter coat, and hat! Oh, did I mention above that the dog ran away? Four and half years here at Woodworth. That is all I can think...

The Koomen Five: Good times, quiet times...
http://koomen5.blogspot.com/2009/04/good-times-quiet-times.html
Thursday, April 30, 2009. Good times, quiet times. It has been a "quiet" couple of weeks around the Koomen house. By quiet, I don't mean noiseless, but uneventful. I did not make time to blog because it did not seem right to always blog about Carson's funny sayings, Carly's boisterous personality, Caitlin's negative attitude. Posted by The Koomen Family. The youngest are always the loudest- they have to be! Tom had a funny dream about you guys the other night! May 6, 2009 at 1:13 PM. Life is not measured...

The Koomen Five: September 2009
http://koomen5.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 22, 2009. The LOST Summer of Blogging! Well, five months later. I have appeared from behind the scenes at the "Live with Jason and Chrissy" show. Now that Fall has officially arrived (but with the central air running) I figured I am long overdue on updating the life of my children. Maybe I am over committed. In my professional volunteer position that I have accepted, but I vow to keep this somewhat updated. Maybe I need to not update Facebook. Pictures, but blog instead. :). Live your ...

The Koomen Five: My Reason for a Perfect Weekend
http://koomen5.blogspot.com/2009/03/my-reason-for-perfect-weekend.html
Monday, March 30, 2009. My Reason for a Perfect Weekend. Chrissy got to go shopping with friends and eat at PF Chang's. All afternoon/evening on Saturday. It was a nice break to prepare for a week without the traveling husband. She was also able to hang out with big Carly all day at the Smith's house on Saturday. Carly is in 6 th. Grade and Caitlin felt like big stuff hanging out with her. He was so GOOD! Posted by The Koomen Family. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Live your life as such, when your f...

The Koomen Five: Is There a Professional in the House?
http://koomen5.blogspot.com/2009/03/is-there-professional-in-house.html
Monday, March 30, 2009. Is There a Professional in the House? I would like to think that in a few years, there may be. Caitlin came home from tennis lessons last week to proclaim to the housetops that Coach Hayes is moving her to the 9-12 year old group. Each group a proper name (current Future Stars), but I prefer to use the age group term because Caitlin is still 7. She said to Coach, "I am only going to be 8 in September, you do know that right? Posted by The Koomen Family. Life is not measured by the...

The Koomen Five: When Will It End??
http://koomen5.blogspot.com/2010/02/when-will-it-end.html
Tuesday, February 2, 2010. When Will It End? The sleepless night will never end. I believe the two younger Koomens. So here I am listening to the kids play nicely after a tired morning. It is nap time, but I don't want to interrupt their sweet imaginative play. Although the tattling has been blown to large proportions. Conversation from the lunch table -. Carson: you are going to be on the naughty list. Carly: no I am not. Carson: yes you are. Footsteps running to the dining room). Good to have you back!

The Koomen Five: The Lost Fall of Blogs
http://koomen5.blogspot.com/2010/01/lost-fall-of-blogs.html
Sunday, January 31, 2010. The Lost Fall of Blogs. Okay, so it didn't work out. I didn't work out. the blogs did not come out. I have some memories still in the memory bank that are worthy to note. We rescued a dog from a puppy mill, and we named him "FIN". He is a golden doodle with a lot of energy and his size resembles that of a Budweiser Clydesdale. The kids were so into the holidays with cookies, crafts, candy making, and all the wonderful traditions the holidays bring for our family. Rollin' With Th...

The Koomen Five: September 2008
http://koomen5.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 24, 2008. The last couple days have been jam packed, as always, but this time with memorable moments. While I was watching Caitlin running at cross country practice last night it hit me that in the amount of time she has been alive, double that. and she is in high school. It scares me! Where does the time go? Like when I ask Caitlin if there was anything special in her lunch box and she replies "YOU". As the bus approaches and nearly runs for her big sister. Sunday, September 21, 2008.
