Mamma of Twins: 1, 2, 3 I Love Chennai
http://itchingtowriteblogs.blogspot.com/2013/09/1-2-3-i-love-chennai.html
Tuesday, September 24, 2013. 1, 2, 3 I Love Chennai. 1, 2, 3 is a first of its kind counting book based on Chennai conceptualised by Rupa Jacob. . What does the word Chennai conjure? The very long Marina beach? Beautiful and complex architecture of South Indian Temples? Dancing.Bharatnatyam to be precise! Aromatic Degree Coffee served in its unique container! Beatifully and intricately woven, brightly coloured Kanjeevaram Silk Sarees! I can envision children talking about a day on the beach or the variou...

Mamma of Twins: More on Delhi Trip
http://itchingtowriteblogs.blogspot.com/2015/05/more-on-delhi-trip.html
Friday, May 22, 2015. More on Delhi Trip. What would one do when going to Delhi with children for yet another holiday apart from lots of playing with cousins? This time, I thought I could do a sort of Delhi darshan with the kids as a part of their learning. So I made a bucket list of things to do in Delhi which would be a good mix of seeing the heritage in the city or beyond and doing some fun and learning. Day 2- Drive to Agra and be back by night to make the most of the Delhi trip. Day 7- Travel back.

Mamma of Twins: An Essay on My Mobile Phone
http://itchingtowriteblogs.blogspot.com/2007/01/essay-on-my-mobile-phone.html
Friday, January 12, 2007. An Essay on My Mobile Phone. What if a modern day mom had to write an essay on her mobile phone? May be it would run along these lines-. My mobile phone is the most important device for me. It helps me in not only staying connected but it has a multitude of other uses. Apart from the above, my phone helps me in home management. If I am in the bathroom and the door bell rings or the cooker whistles, I can call my sleeping hubby or brother or sister whenever they are there, on...

Mamma of Twins: My Children My Buddies
http://itchingtowriteblogs.blogspot.com/2015/07/my-children-my-buddies.html
Tuesday, July 07, 2015. My Children My Buddies. Two pairs of little feet jumped together in the water accumulated after the rains. Up they went and down they came with a. Creating a crystalline crown of water droplets around their feet, totally unmindful of the rain that showered on their dark heads. Unmindful of the fact that their pristine white shirts were getting dotted with big blotches of rain drops and would soon soak them and their skins. Surely earning them an earful each from their mom. A true ...

Mamma of Twins: PTM Meeting
http://itchingtowriteblogs.blogspot.com/2013/04/ptm-meeting.html
Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Looks like I am the only mom cribbing about the childrens progress. I am worried about the fact that the kids do not seem to be reading perfectly well in Hindi. I am worried that 3 digit subtraction was not given much focus while the school insists they had done it. The coordinator assures that the new Hindi teacher will make things better. While the report is good I have this vague sense that perhaps I am not focusing enough on their studies. . Really nice article,. What if a ...

Tuesday, July 14, 2015. The go natural obsession now includes the following. Neem leaves in cupboards to ward against insects. A pot of baking soda to remove bad odours especially near the dustbin. Cute baby socks filled with charcoal to remove moisture especially to prevent mould on my leather bags and damp smell in the cupboards especially where bed linen are stored. Useful for bathroom cabinets too. Used coffee grounds on bottles to deodorise and spread good aroma. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Mamma of Twins: My First Expert
http://itchingtowriteblogs.blogspot.com/2015/05/my-first-expert.html
Sunday, May 10, 2015. My mother remains my go to person for all problems. Everytime I face a situation, I believe that if I tell her, everything will be alright. A form of unburdening my troubles on her, without any thought that I would be burdening her with my own troubles. Today, as I struggle with my weight, the first lesson I remember is-. Take a bowl and eat. Do not eat straight from the jar. You will not have control. MY FIRST PORTION CONTROL LESSON indeed. She taught me etiquette. Everytime we wen...

Mamma of Twins: Crash Diet Woes
http://itchingtowriteblogs.blogspot.com/2015/07/crash-diet-woes.html
Wednesday, July 08, 2015. For years I have substituted honey for sugar in my smoothie/ juice/ lassi/ coffee recipes. Would be a good term for the same because I reduce or remove white sugar from my diet altogether and it also gives me a nice, rich, honey taste which I love. Do not get me wrong. I do not believe in dieting. Only in making lifestyle changes. Instead of 3 large meals, one should take 6 small meals to help the body handle smaller amounts of food . For example, I use the following. On rising-...
