It couldn't be better

Sunday, April 28, 2013. It is About Me. Starting in 2009, we were beginning to understand and accept that this life is not our own. It is not about us. We made decisions that have changed the course of our life and the path of our children. They were costly decisions and ones we would not change. When the journey became long and quiet, people would ask, "How are you all doing? We would say, "We are alright. It's not about us, though.". How have you adjusted? And that's ok. It's not about me. I will admit...

It couldn't be better: November 2012

http://itcouldnotbebetter.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 29, 2012. The Weight of Glory. Dearest family and friends:. We are home at last with our son. After years of anticipation and longing, we now hold the son who was placed so heavily on our hearts 3 years ago, before he was even conceived. We packed quickly and got out of the country within 48 hours- -not a small miracle. We could not have done it alone. Our support system stepped up in a big way. Thank you to all of the prayers lifted up to bring Jude home. We are eternally thankful.

It couldn't be better: January 2013

http://itcouldnotbebetter.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 8, 2013. We had a sick baby boy yesterday. From the minute he woke up, he was not himself. He had a fever and a runny nose. I made an appointment with the doctor, just to make sure there was nothing else hiding, like an ear infection. Who caught his vomit? Who wiped him off? Who gave him a warm bath? Who gave him crackers to settle his stomach? It Couldn't Be Better. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). It couldn't be better. It Couldn't Be Better. The Rust family was established before time, but...

http://itcouldnotbebetter.blogspot.com/2012/02/not-mine.html

Thursday, February 16, 2012. Jason reminded me this week of something I learned a few years ago. I had heard a small portion of a sermon by Tony Evans on the radio in the car as I was headed to the store one day. I don't usually enjoy listening to Tony Evans, because he is a loud "Give me an 'Amen'! Kind of preacher. He was speaking on the subject of good stewardship. It Couldn't Be Better. It couldn't be better: Court Date: Take 2

http://itcouldnotbebetter.blogspot.com/2012/08/court-date-take-2.html

Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Court Date: Take 2. The past 2 weeks have been incredibly exciting for our family. It has been months and months since we've received positive news about movement in Jude's case. We already knew families who'd been given court dates of October 24 and later. It seemed as if our court date would be late October/early November- -at the earliest. We are thankful to have a date to look forward to, in great anticipation. We know and accept that anything can happen; however, we bel...

A Day in the Life of the Langs: August 2011

http://thelifeofthelangs.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

A Day in the Life of the Langs. Ryan, Julie, Caiden and Lakelie (and Max, too! Monday, August 8, 2011. I've Got Friends in Lowww Places. Having a baby changes your life. In more ways than one. Duh. I had heard that relationships you had before having kiddos could be altered once your little one arrived, but never really thought too much about it. I loved all the friends in my life. I was sure having our little man would not change things that much. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Mayfield Family Adoption Adventure: February 2011

http://mayfieldadoption.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, February 26, 2011. We had a wonderful day with Rachel today! She has been a lot of fun. She has played with everyone and had a great time. We gave her a bath tonight and she loved it! She didn't want to get out. We think she is going to be a little swimmer. She is just incredible. No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Friday, February 25, 2011. Thursday, March 24, 2011. Rachel is doing wonderfully! For God, who said, 'Let there be light in the darkness,' has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. We just received word today that we have permission from the Embassy to travel and get Leah! I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done. Mayfield Family Adoption Adventure: April 2011

http://mayfieldadoption.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Please pray for us as we try to arrange an escort to bring Leah home. We are hopeful that we may be able to get a family that is traveling for their court date to at least escort her to where they live. This would greatly reduce the cost for us. Pray that God would provide the right family if this is his will so that we can get her home as soon as possible. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. There was an error i...

Mayfield Family Adoption Adventure: Christmas

http://mayfieldadoption.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas.html

Tuesday, December 27, 2011. What a wonderful Christmas this year now that all of our family is here. We had hoped they would be here last Christmas but that didn't work out. They both really loved Christmas. We explained to Leah that is was Jesus' birthday and that was why we were celebrating and she seemed to understand it. Everyone wanted to give them a present. At one point Leah said "another one! But they had fun and everyone enjoyed having little ones at Christmas again. View my complete profile.

Saturday, May 28, 2011. First Day at Home. Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Friday, May 27, 2011. Leah and Mike are home. Leah is still a little overwhelmed with everything. She was crying when she came off the plane because she had been asleep and wasn't ready to. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Mike took this picture of Leah while waiting at the airport in DC. Isn't she beautiful? She looks happy to be coming home. We received an E...

It Could Have Happened 7 Years Ago. So, number one. Don’t listen to anyone’s advice. Except mine. And the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics for you newbies) which is pretty much the government of babies. They know everything and your pediatrician will let you know when they have changed their mind on a variety of topics since new studies have completely negated their previous advice. Half Way to Hope: Stopping the Stigma. May 10, 2015. Have I changed the World yet? Blogging is so intimidating, raw, but most of all its FREEING. I was very worried about writing about the topic I picked. I was afraid it would stir up feelings that I did not want stirred up. But, oddly it was therapeutic in a sense. How Could It Get Any Worse?

How Could It Get Any Worse? A view on why everything sucks. Monday, September 26, 2005. Rudy Giuliani For President. My prediction's for the 2008 election go something like this. Democratic side: John Kerry and Hillary Clinton with Hillary slightly winning the primary over Kerry. Republican Side: Rudy Giuliani and John McCain, with Rudy winning the majority of the primary votes. And I just can't wait until the debates start, I think it'll sound something like this:. Bush's approval rating was so low!
