For the past three months(since our court date), I've felt like I've been holding my breath, in regards to our adoption, but today, I can finally exhale, because WE PASSED COURT! So so happy for you!

We've been home with Zola for six weeks now and what a journey! I left for Addis on Jan 11th, even before we were cleared by embassy, to take custody of our little girl and ended up staying for a month!

A tale of two blessings. My ramblings, and "tales" of my two blessings. Friday, January 23, 2009. Why I did not vote for Obama. Back during the election cycle, I struggled with the fact I was chosing the "Non-Cool" option of voting for John McCain. Quite frankly, there was so much about him that I didn't like. Obama was younger, hipper and lets face it, as an Alabama-ian.voting for a black man seemed to undo so many wrongs that had been done in the past. May God have mercy on us all. Taken from yahoo news.

Ethiopia.Here We Come! Sunday, September 4, 2011. Friday morning, we received an email from the US Embassy in Addis Ababa confirming our interview on Tuesday September 13th. The final phase of our adoption process is about to be completed. Shira's sister, Andrea, is traveling with Shira to bring Lidiya home, and they leave Friday September 9th. Now, it's real. It Feels Like Chaos. After such a long process, you are in the home stretch for sure! September 5, 2011 at 7:39 PM. So honored to be going again!
