It Happens At Homeschool. Exploring the possibilities of Home Education. Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Getting ready for a new HS year. Math U See - Gamma. Sewing/spinning/kitchen and cooking skills, etc. When we finish with Astronomy in/near March, we will switch to social studies and geography, with a possible unit using the Little House series. I think our Life Skills will tie in very nicely with Colonial and Pioneer Times, so that will be our focus when the time comes. Until next time -.

It Happens At Homeschool. Exploring the possibilities of Home Education. Sunday, May 16, 2010. What a beautiful day today! The kids and I took our first official bike ride of the year complete with a stop at the playground. Then we worked a bit in the yard followed by violin practice (without moaning) and a yummy dinner that my daughter helped prepare. It feels so good to see the smiles on my kids faces. I am at peace today. I am so excited about the end of PS and going back to HSing! Links to this post.

Finding inspiration in fiber, texture, color and good old fashioned handcrafting. Friday, June 10, 2011. Finally some finished yarn! I finally was able to sit down and ply the polwarth with the Jamaica merino/mohair blend. I just love how this yarn feels. And although it doesn't look like much when seen in the skein, it knits up beautifully! I am thrilled with how this turned out, and can't wait to begin knitting.
