Life at The Place. Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Are You Ready For Some Football? Well, we had our first game last night (Jamboree). Clay(#57) did really well. He had an great block, even the announcer agreed. That's the block, behind #45, allowing #12 to gain about 20 yards. We'll just say Clay was praying while he was face down on the field. Life at The Place: Clay's week didn't end as good as it started.
http://lifeattheplace.blogspot.com/2010/10/clays-week-didnt-end-as-good-as-it.html
Life at The Place. Monday, October 18, 2010. Clay's week didn't end as good as it started. Here is the X-ray of his collarbone showing the break. To fix the bone the doctor made an incision, put the bone in a clamp, spread the bone back apart until they fit back in place then put a plate with six screws in it to hold it. October 19, 2010 at 12:43 PM. Those pics and the thought of breaking your collar bone made my knees week. Well be praying for a quick recovery. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Hampton Family: December 2010
http://thehamptonings.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Jeremy, Laura, Dylan, Hensley and Daisy too. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Some houses try to hide the fact. That children shelter there. Ours boasts of it quite openly. The signs are everywhere. For smears are on the windows,. Little smudges on the doors;. I should apologize I guess. For toys strewn on the floor. But I sat down with the children. And we played and laughed and read. And if the doorbell doesn't shine,. Their eyes will shine instead. For when at times I'm forced to choose. I mean, seriously.

Jeremy, Laura, Dylan, Hensley and Daisy too. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Dylan has figured out how to open the fridge. I walked in on this yesterday…. I asked what he was doing. He said, "I drinkin' juice, momma.". Saturday, August 28, 2010. Dylan loves to read, but usually he likes us reading to him. So when he sat down and read to me I was shocked. And very impressed. Even if every page does sound the same. :). The "I love momma" song. Friday, August 27, 2010. Perhaps. My money's on Anna. :).

Jeremy, Laura, Dylan, Hensley and Daisy too. Sunday, April 8, 2012. MOPS Easter Egg Hunt. Sunday School Egg Hunt. Gran's Easter Egg Hunt. Hunt at Hunny's. (The after party.). We also made some Easter Egg Cupcakes. Weird? Yes, but the kids enjoyed them. These were fun, but such a mess to make. Mine overflowed and caught fire in the oven. Apparently you're not supposed to overfill the eggs…the instructions say that if you read them. I got the recipe here. A close up. I'm showing you the pretty side.

Jeremy, Laura, Dylan, Hensley and Daisy too. Friday, May 13, 2011. If you know me you know I love crafts. I love making things. Crappy or cute, it's just good fun. So lately I've been forcing my love of craftiness on my children. They really seem to enjoy the messes we make. Hensley's more or less just along for the ride, but Dylan gets a big kick out of it. He says,"Look, I did it! And "That was really really fun, mom! Bigger mess = more fun. He made one for all of his friends. Hens in her marker smock.

The Hampton Family: September 2012
http://thehamptonings.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Jeremy, Laura, Dylan, Hensley and Daisy too. Saturday, September 15, 2012. A million pics of the fun we had a few weeks ago. The obligatory beach photo. :). Which one does not belong? We're sisters, did you know? Dad and I won the award for best meal. Winning. It's what we do. Mom and Jared won the dessert category. At the end of the week everyone votes on their favorites, the votes are tallied (by trusted, non biased individuals) and a winner is announced. It's definitely a vacation highlight. While at ...
