The boats are all built with top of the line epoxy resin, carbon fiber, foam core and kevlar. The epoxy is introduced using epoxy infusion, a method that uses vacuum to remove all the air before adding resin. This provides a very light laminate, but also one that is reliable, so every boat is within several hundred grams of its target weight. Three layups are currently available and are priced the same for both C1 and K1:. Competition Elite – $1800CAN. Very stiff, very light. Competition – $1700CAN.

The abosolute C1 was designed by USA Olympic athlete Benn Fraker, who paddled the boat to a 6th place finish at the Beijing Olympics. The result is a boat that is 351 cm long and 61cm wide. The reduced width provides much smoother tracking and increases running speed. The boat turns with ease on a flat draw turn, or on a sweep, both made easier with incresed rocker. It was super cold out, and even snowed for a short time, but I was warm and toasty in my new level six drysuit! I have been building kiteboards now for almost 2 years. As of right now, the boards are only available in limited numbers to select clientele from the ottawa/gatineau community. We have been testing them hard, have broken a few, and the boards are better for it. The boards are all CNC shaped, ABS rails, stainless steel inserts.
