A field notebook of suburban life. Posted in Suburban Field Notes. The temperature finally crossed the freezing line and for the first time in six weeks I was able to get my car out of the garage. Oh, sweet freedom! I ran errands. But it still counts as freedom, right? I had a coffee I didn’t make in one hand, and for a few seconds in each parking lot I paused to enjoy the slightly-more-than-freezing temperatures. Twenty, thirty-five, fifty. How is your midlife crisis treating you? This weekend, an old f...

I document our lives through letters to my favorite people. Friday, August 15, 2014. The End: Weeks 8, 9, and 10. The few pictures I managed to find are helpful for my memory though. That Stuffed Parrot Thing. Three Thing Thursday →. July 13, 2015 · 10:00 am. A running update and a 10k. I haven’t been running much and by not much, I mean all the running I have been doing is about three miles tops on a nice air conditioned treadmill. So imagine my delight when Michelle.
