It's All About the Bread. Tuesday, January 11, 2011. 37 - Swedish Limpa. Looks good, I know. But its good looks belie its flavor. This one was just okay. Not stellar, by any rating scale - just okay. I had one slice and gave the rest away. But with 43 breads, they can't all be winners like the Poilane style miche, which, by the way two weeks later - thawed from the freezer - still makes the best toast - ever. It's All About the Bread. Friday, January 22, 2010. 16 - Kaiser Rolls. Homemade, Hand-formed Kaiser Rolls! In all my years of bread baking, not once did it ever occur to me to make Kaiser Rolls. Sure, I’ve bought them at the bakery from time to time when making uptown turkey or veggie burgers, but make them? It never even entered my consciousness to try.
