The team was tasked with creating a christmas on air package to compliment the new Gold branding launched last summer. My role was to art direct the idents and bumpers (the short segments in between programmes). Using the existing idents as inspiration, we were asked to create a Christmas touch. The strain is a new vampire horror drama series coming to the Watch channel and the clients wanted a promo that emphasised the theme of the show. We looked at using the UV glow for the graphics and we wanted something that felt very different. After a number of different routes and tests, we decided on getting our hands dirty and doing a mini shoot for the captions in the promo. Agency: Red Bee Media. Graphics and Animation: Andy Evans.
