Not accepting review requests. The world of books as I see it. Newer posts →. July 8, 2015. This is one of those that has been on my list for quite some time. My goal for the summer has been to knock some books off of that list, and though Obsidian wasn’t the first one I picked up, it has certainly been one of my favorites so far. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes. Twilight, The Sookie Stackhouse Novels, Cinder, etc. By Jennifer L. Armentrout. YA Fantasy, Paranormal, Romance, Sci Fi. We are...

Not accepting review requests. The world of books as I see it. Books at the Top. Review: Conversion →. Raquo; Opal Review. July 23, 2015. Opal by Jennifer Armentrout. YA paranormal, fantasy, romance, sci fi. Published December 11, 2012. Overall not a bad book, a bit slow on the uptake, but necessary to transition into the final two. Together we’re stronger… and they know it. As I said, I have finished the series, so I will be reviewing the final two soon. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window).

Not accepting review requests. The world of books as I see it. Raquo; Articles posted by rebeccak00. December 28, 2016. I recently read the first book of The Raven Cycle. Series by Maggie Stiefvater. Is a fresh breath in a sea of YA supernatural repetition. In wake of Twilight. Series everything I have read in the past few years seems to be attempting to ride on the coat tales of success. Some of them have been good, most have just been repeats with different characters and monsters. Click to share on Pi...

Review Policy | Cheap Thrills
https://cheapthrillsbookblog.wordpress.com/review-policy
My reviews reflect my own honest enjoyment (or not) of the book. I’ll always try to give a fair overview, keeping in mind that everyone’s tastes are different, but these are just my personal thoughts, not a critical analysis. Most books I read come from the library, but if I received a review copy from the publisher, that will be noted in the review. That said, although I may occasionally seek out books that interest me from NetGalley, I am not interested in receiving review requests at this time.

Not accepting review requests. The world of books as I see it. Raquo; Not accepting review requests. Not accepting review requests. I will not be accepting new any review requests for a while. I got bogged down by lists of unread ARCs and was not able to read what I wanted. I started blogging at first because it was fun and I enjoyed that. I want to stick to it for a while. Not accepting review requests. The world of books as I see it. All Things Raven →. Raquo; Review: Secondhand Souls. April 8, 2016. Genre: Adult, Paranormal, Comedy. Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars. I am a fan of Christopher Moore. If you haven’t read any of his work, and you are a responsible adult who can handle some colorful language, I suggest you find one of his books and read it. His writing is laugh out loud funny. I’m talking big belly laughs and chuckles all around. Check it out on:. You are commentin...

Contact and Review Policy. For our part, we’re weighing in with either something we’re hoping to find under the tree or something we’re giving this year that has us excited. After a long slog of remodeling an old house, we’re finished- with the exception of my office. The majority of my books are still in boxes so while it’s not a gift that will fit under the tree I’m really hoping for bookshelves. Lots and lots of bookshelves! At least, to the people I haven’t already given it to. Is there any book you’...

Bout of Books 14. On August 14, 2015. Bout of books 14. 8211; From the Bout of Books team. It’s that time again! My last Bout of Books went better than expected. This time, I’m not quite as overwhelmed with my new momming duties, but the little man does require a bit more interaction now, so we’ll see how much he’ll let me get in. I have several possibilities for my Bout of Books reading…. I was reminded of how much I loved this book when putting together my list of bookish characters a couple weeks ago.

Three Funny Ladies (or, Reactions to My First Few Audiobooks). On August 13, 2015. I still prefer reading, but the time thing… well, that’s no longer the case. During the last Bout of Books, I decide to include an audiobook –. Seriously… I’m Kidding. By Ellen DeGeneres. What I found was that humorous nonfiction is great audiobook material, especially when narrated by a celebrity I already know and enjoy. I followed it up with two books I thought might be similar – Amy Poehler’s. And Tina Fey’s. I’l...
