Adventures in Mongo: December 2008
http://mongoadventurer.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Just in case I don't get around to it. 2008, it's been a slice. Thanks for the memories. Both the bad, and the good. And happy birthday big boy! Monday, December 29, 2008. Ah, it's good to be back. To routine that is. It's nice to have all the children home. I prefer when we are not all house bound as a result of freezing rain. We had/have a few extra special visitors. We collected the school principal's bird for the duration of Christmas break, and a friends dog as she co...

February 3, 2015. Sometimes I find it hard to remain optimistic about life. This should come as no surprise as I suffer from chronic depression, but even when I am well and happy there are things that are said and done around me. I’m not talking about terrible disasters or acts of unimaginable cruelty, but things that are said unthinkingly by well-meaning people. This second example of altruism convinced me that there are people in this world who are “too good to be true”. I had had the g...8221; During ...

Om~ Mama~Shanti: June 2009
http://ommamashanti.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. I couple of weeks ago, I was having. One of those days. You know the ones I mean. As my sweetheart drives me to work and I finally have time to catch my breath, I feel that sting in my eyes and the pressure in my throat and I just start to cry. He looks over at me and with genuine concern asks “What’s the matter? I’m feeling overwhelmed. All of a sudden. I find that my time management and coping skills have been hijacked. Only, I know that it isn’t. All of a sudden. 8221; And I...

Thursday, December 17, 2009. What We're Reading Dec. 17. Today I am hosting “What We are Reading This Week” for the Well Read Child. So please comment or include a link in the comments to your blog post about what you are reading this week. At the beginning of 2009, I decided to help the Elf to keep a record of all the books she would read this year. This was due largely to the fact that she had received twenty-plus books for Christmas and had read most of them by the end of January! Stinson gets it thou...

http://ommamashanti.blogspot.com/2010/02/he-lion-book-and-bathrobe.html
Friday, February 5, 2010. The Lion, the Book and the Bathrobe. Here is C showcasing her three favourite Christmas gifts. From Grandma A. It is furry and has a motion or light sensor which sets it to roll around on the floor and roar with laughter- - until you turn it OFF. She loves it. From Grandma L. The Last Olympian, of the Percy Jackson Series. She's read it twice now. She loves it. From Grandma S. It's soft, it's warm, it's red. She wants to wear it ALL the time. She loves it. Riding in a handbasket.

Om~ Mama~Shanti: November 2009
http://ommamashanti.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 26, 2009. What We're Reading November 26. Well, we’ve pretty much wrapped up our reading from our large haul from the library a couple of weeks back. It’s a good thing too as the books are due back on Saturday. Normally this would be a good opportunity to get more books while returning the old ones, however, I am singing in the Westben Theatre’s. Concert of The Wind In the Willows on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, so the library trip will have to wait until next weekend. By Sarah Weeks...

Crazy Life, Makes me Tired. Mom of 4 kids, 2 dogs, love to travel, ski, play ball, read, be social, meet people…. Have fun. March 12, 2014. Well it seems I will not be able to make a living using my “online skills” and presence. I found a “job posting” of sorts today at one of the blogging companies that I follow, and I thought “PERFECT! Maybe I should use that as a temporary focus? I guess the squirrel came a little too close to the window and she thought she could grab it through the glass. LOL! But at...
