A good friend of ours has been fighting cancer and undergoing radical chemotherapy for the past 6 months. Tomorrow he will undergo a really big, long, dangerous surgery. It's hard to think that for the rest of us tomorrow will be business as usual. For his kids it will be a day of waiting at home for word about their dad. Life can be beautiful.
