Jelly Beenz: March 2007
http://jelly-beenz.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 19, 2007. Where is Bush's Bullhorn? Wrong in the White House. From the get-go, Bush focused on bringing a 'new tone' to DC. What has it got him, other than opponents who sense weakness? Early on in his administration. Bush reached across the aisle to let Ted Kennedy write the education bill. I suppose this was in hopes that when things got tough later on, he'd be able to rely on new found relationships. Fat chance. Now that the Dems. That the original mission WAS accomplished. To continue t...

Jelly Beenz: July 2008
http://jelly-beenz.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 18, 2008. Don't Tell Me What Offends Me. So there was this big dust-up on THE VIEW yesterday. The topic de jour was Jesse Jackson's recent remarks concerning Barrack Obama. Seems Mr. Jackson used the N-word while waiting to go on THE O-REILLY FACTOR. An overnight producer caught the whispered expletive when he was transcribing the tape for archival purposes. That was last week. Wonder if they'd accept the same argument in defense of the confederate flag? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Jelly Beenz: Keeping Up with the Dems is Hard To Do
http://jelly-beenz.blogspot.com/2010/01/keeping-up-with-dems-is-hard-to-do.html
Sunday, January 24, 2010. Keeping Up with the Dems is Hard To Do. When most folks talk about the Obama administration and Cloward and Piven's strategy of collapsing the system by overwhelming it, I'm pretty sure they were concerned with big things like government welfare, food stamps and unemployment benefits. Not a little-read blog. But that's what happened to your truly last week. I hadn't got much further than that in my writing gestation process when polls started appearing all over Massachusetts tha...

Jelly Beenz: 2010: Dormant No More
http://jelly-beenz.blogspot.com/2010/01/2010-dormant-no-more.html
Saturday, January 2, 2010. 2010: Dormant No More. It's been a very long time since there's been any activity here at JELLY BEENZ. It's unfortunate and pretty much inexcusable. But much like the Tea Party folks, the long period of dormancy is over. The political and cultural goings on of 2009 have been difficult to let silently unfold. And truthfully, it's so much easier to pop over to Facebook and drop a snarky status update that stirs the pot amongst my most liberal friends and relatives. The promises o...

Jelly Beenz: June 2008
http://jelly-beenz.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 7, 2008. NBC Wants You to Vote for Change. One wonders if NBC/Universal, the producer of FOX's hit drama HOUSE, receive a receipt for its recent blatant donation to the campaign of presidential candidate Barrack Obama. I'd really like to know the story behind this one. Was FOX aware/complicit of the blatant product placement? Does its presence violate any equal time rules? Does the FEC even care? If it airs inside that window, does it constitute a violation of McCain/Feingold?

Jelly Beenz: Obama: The 101st Senator
http://jelly-beenz.blogspot.com/2010/01/obama-101st-senator.html
Thursday, January 7, 2010. Obama: The 101st Senator. Much has been made over the last 48 hours about Candidate Obama's pledge to televise the negotiations for Health insurance Reform. Folks with the time and determination to count such things have found eight separate instances when Mr. O pitched that some sort of coverage of the inner workings of Congress should be televised by C-SPAN. There are a number of things he was for on the campaign trail.". Why defer to Obama at this point? 2010: Dormant No More.

http://jelly-beenz.blogspot.com/2007/07/for-some-reason-title-of-this-post-wont_09.html
Monday, July 9, 2007. For some reason, the title of this post won't display. Hmm. A conspiracy! What if they gave a concert and no one came? This past weekend the greenest of the world's rockers (that Al Gore could convince to show up, or that had new releases to promote). Flew a collective 225,000 miles (the carbon footprint equivalant of two centuries of SUV highway mileage). To sing to us about saving energy. Al Gore already has a crappy cable channel. PS Al, it's snowing in Buenos Aires for the first...

Jelly Beenz: November 2012
http://jelly-beenz.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 5, 2012. I gave up. After two years of the Obama administration, I gave up. I couldn't keep pace with the lies, stumbles, incompetence and general tone-deaf nature of these folks. The pace with which the hypocrisy and malfeasance of the media became apparent - and generally unchallenged was unnerving. I couldn't wrap my brain around a post without two new events popping up screaming for my attention. And I did what they probably wanted all of us to do. I gave up. The uncertainty with whi...

Jelly Beenz: June 2007
http://jelly-beenz.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 8, 2007. As the World Spins. Over the course of just 24 hours the world seems to have righted itself. At the start of the week, the Senate was moments away from passing an immigration bill that seemed to please only the Senate. Conservatives, in particular, were feeling particularly disenfranchised. No one seemed to be listening. Then there was Paris Hilton. Yet another celebrity who managed to pull a quick one on society by turning a 45 day sentence into a three day sleep over. Wondered why...
