Tuesday, May 31, 2005. Kelly took back to back Best of Breed wins in Laramie Wyoming this weekend. She beat a nice group of Samoyeds including two group winning dogs and a group placing bitch! Saturday, April 30, 2005. Springtime in the Rockies. The first year I lived in Colorado, when April rolled around I was in shock. I grew up in Virgina where April means spring flowers, cherry blossoms and dog woods in bloom. Winter is (usually) a distant memory by the end of April. Yes, most sammies (and I'm guessing all breeds with dark points? Occasionally they are born with a little pigment, usually seen as a gray shading. Breeders like to brag how quickly their puppies get pigment, but in the end it really doesn't matter how fast it comes in. They are growing so fast! 10 days seems to be 2 Pound Day.

Tuesday, February 22, 2005. Babe had a big weekend! It started out on Friday. Her first time ever in an AKC show ring was for Puppy Sweepstakes at the Denver Samoyed Association Specialty. Babe was up to the challenge. She won her class, then went on to win Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Puppy Sweepstakes. For her efforts she got a lovely lavender rosette and a very nice votive candle holder. See. She Comes By it Honestly. Of Kelly from last year? Skipper is now living with the owner of Babe's grandfath...
