July 15th 2005 Posted in geek stuff. A recently published study shows that self-indulgence is easier for humans to handle than abstinance. Choosing work over play leads to regrets about having missed out on the pleasures of life. Over time, these regrets intensify, while guilt about indulging tends to fade. So what does this say about protestant work ethic and other christian values and western society? I believe Denis Leary put this well when he says that. Carpe Diem’);. It’s the hormones talking.

Leave your earwax alone…. August 29th 2008 Posted in health. Guidelines have just been published. In the US on earwax. Basically, leave it alone, it serves an important biological function and all the fiddling folks generally do to remove it often just causes it to become impacted. If you wear a hearing aid or something else that is likely to cause impaction, visit a doctor every 6 months to make sure everything is ok/to get it cleaned about by someone who won’t hurt your ears.
