KIWI ENGLISH | LEFT TURN AHEAD
https://leftturnahead.wordpress.com/kiwi-english
Jumping into the rabbit hole. When I was deciding on what country I should go to – New Zealand. Made the shortlist right away because it’s an English-speaking country. After all, I just figured it would make finding work a lot easier if I spoke the language. Anyway, below are interesting phrases/words/expressions that I’m learning from the Kiwis. Across the ditch: across the Tasman Sea (essentially Australia). Bottle shop: liquor store. Bro: putting it in here as it’s always used. Dub, dub, dub: www (yah).

Is the obsession with scale and consitency a monoculture of the mind? https://whatladder.wordpress.com/2013/09/10/pop-quiz
Things that cross my mind and my desk. Okay, so imagine, dear Reader, you are a student. Or, if that’s too much of a stretch, you can, like, imagine you are a normal human being in a parallel situation that involves going to somewhere new. This isn’t an English class! It’s a class that’s already going and the teacher at the front of the room is fully teaching Accounting. In your classroom where your class is supposed to be! No way, dude! So, obvs, you LEAVE. But what’s your next step? Did you pick B?
