Love Will Tear Us Apart. October 30, 2011. My family is SO COOL. This is them dressed up as the noble denizens of the mushroom kingdom at my parent's ward's trunk or treat last night:. That's my dad is Waluigi, my sister Amalie as Princess Daisy, my sister Alena as Princess Peach, my mom as Rosalina, and my nephews Kanoa and Kaimi as Mario and Luigi. Then here's a picture of the decoration they made for their car (watched over by Willy Wonka, of course):. Jacob I. McMillan. October 21, 2011. Since I cont...

Love Will Tear Us Apart: vacaaaations
http://jacobwendy.blogspot.com/2013/07/vacaaaations.html
Love Will Tear Us Apart. July 10, 2013. We got a visit from Uncle Kip and Aunt Brittany which consisted mostly of lazy beach days, our favorite kind of days. Holden finally had someone to reenact scenes from Star Wars with and Sissy clung to Brittany like.a very clingy one year old. This is the beach in Randy and Brooklyn's backyard. It's called Backyards. Seriously. It only took 3 years of being a resident but we finally went to the Polynesian Cultural Center while Randy and Brooklyn babysat. Uncle Rick...

http://thewalkinghawaiian.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
What to see in Kaimuki! Tuesday, June 25, 2013. The intense color shot my eyeballs out! But the combination of cloudy skies and the. Recent rain produced this vibrant hibiscus! Sorry for taking the picture with the binder ring in the middle, but it saves space for other pictures. With sodden, clingy clothes, I said "Uncle" to the weather and ended my walk at 2.04. I smelt the ocean before even seeing it. This part of Kailua called,. What do you think? See or do one of your FAVORITE things today! The Old ...

http://thewalkinghawaiian.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-theme-for-today-is-beautiful-and.html
What to see in Kaimuki! Tuesday, July 29, 2014. The theme for today is Beautiful. The brightly hued hibiscus reminded me of the sun. Seeing orchids encircling these vertical palms seems unlikely with gravity pulling it downward. So many beautiful items came into view as well as strange items, so, I'll pair the two for your enjoyment. Having walked the flat-lands for the past several months, going back up the mountain ridges proved quite challenging. Continuing in Pearl City. Used for a handicapped person...

What to see in Kaimuki! Friday, August 1, 2014. And where is Donna today? The Northwestern point of the Island of Oahu, called, Kaena Poin. Even though there really isn't a designated road or street to this area, maybe someday there will be! The first picture is the point looking at the west side of the Island. The second shows the Northeast part of the Island. Sorry for the spiral, but I didn't want to take 3 separate photos. Does it look far to you? Going by foot is a little more challenging! Standing ...

The Walking Hawaiian: January 2014
http://thewalkinghawaiian.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
What to see in Kaimuki! Friday, January 31, 2014. I would feel very uncomfortable looking out my front window with a scary looking Tiki. Of course, you could have a staring contest, but I think you'll lose! Maybe the Tiki is guarding the pond that flows below the rock pile. You will notice a difference in the pictures today. First of all, I was walking on the WINDWARD. An opportunity presented itself making Kailua. With the sun dipping low on the Ko'olau. Do you need directions in Kailua? I loved the C.

What to see in Kaimuki! Monday, August 26, 2013. Thoroughly motivated to walk the remainder of Ka'ahele. I didn't take into consideration how challenging it would be! This unwelcome sight stunned me, so I decided to look elsewhere so I wouldn't get discouraged! This open field is called, Ka'ahele park. And the Waianae range. It was not one of my longer jaunts, but, it was one of the more difficult ones! Hoofing 3.91 miles. To complete this sinewy street, reaching the top had me in a celebratory mood!

The Walking Hawaiian: December 2013
http://thewalkinghawaiian.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
What to see in Kaimuki! Sunday, December 29, 2013. I know that our favorite saying is, " Hang Loose. But, this is a little disturbing! The resident had a decoration malfunction I suppose! Crazy enough, I must have HEIGHT FEVER, because heading up the mountain seems to be the routes I'm taking! Actually, close to finishing Ka'ahumanu St. I thought it might be a good idea to do that. I figured that it couldn't be as bad as Radar Hill Rd. Walking to the end and back doubled the distance to 4.39 miles. Barre...

The Walking Hawaiian: October 2013
http://thewalkinghawaiian.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
What to see in Kaimuki! Friday, October 25, 2013. Seeing the scarecrow's plant-pot head from the distance, I thought that it was cute and appropriate to guard the garden against inquisitive animals. Obviously, it attracted a " Walking Hawaiian. Today's journey seemed to be in " twos. As this Airplane Weather vane. With the propeller spinning away) was also in the same yard as the "pothead" scarecrow! I bid a fond " Aloha. Good-bye) to Niu Valley. As I finally completed the area with 2.98 miles. I usually...
