Some are lucky if they get one meal a day. Today, my big wee one missed lunch. Why? Because I forgot to give her money to buy her lunch at school. Having spent almost all of her school life so far in Africa, where pastoral support is minimal to say the least, she did not think to tell the teacher. And so she had… a plum. Get used to it!
