It's worth the chaos. Sunday, 15 January 2017. This morning feels so lovely - still winter obviously, but the window in the sewing room is wide open, the windowsill has been cleared and cleaned, boxes and bags full of stuff have been thrown away/re-homed/tidied and everything is starting to feel fresh. And because you do things, you feel like doing more things. Next decision is - to keep the stars hanging on the wall or take them down? I'll admit I'm loving the clear space so it will probably be down!

It's worth the chaos. Friday, 2 December 2016. Camera issues part two. I'm still not using the camera outside as much as I'd like, and I realise from reading around that it's not just me! From what others are saying, the answer is usually in making it easy for yourself to do it. Which is why I'm researching camera bags with a vengeance. It's worth the chaos. Wednesday, 31 August 2016. Whenever we have the crazy dachshund to stay I always take him for a beach walk. Luckily there are a fair few to choose from around these parts, but often the one I do choose is not, well, the obvious one. The town itself is nothing special, not on the scale of Bamburgh etc, but the beach itself is perfect for dog walking. And this morning it was extra special as it was completely empty. Not another soul did we pass. Not counting these ones obviously.

It's worth the chaos. Thursday, 24 November 2016. I don't often adopt days from other continents/cultures, but today I am. It has been too easy faced with illness and a bit of a thing going on with the world lately, to think everything is wrong. Well, of course it isn't. The joys far outweigh the downsides in my life and for that I really am thankful. Family, friends, garden and making. Monday, 21 November 2016. Friday, 18 November 2016. I really do feel better already. But I love it so that makes it OK.

It's worth the chaos. Saturday, 27 February 2016. Cullercoats Bay by Ray Campbell. Above is a painting of the bay I walked along yesterday - I did take a photo, but only on my phone and that's already on instagram! As ever, there is not much in the way of original thought, and as I was thinking about all of this over the past few days, I came across this from Flow magazine. My head is still unsettled, and that's ok too. I'm liking the work in progress. Wednesday, 17 February 2016. Help is out there.

It's worth the chaos. Saturday, 14 January 2017. Yes, we've had very dark or very snowy days, but the light is definitely improving! After school doesn't automatically mean black dark anymore. So, today I ventured outside into the garden. I'm obviously on a par with a goldfish because it always surprises me 1) how much I enjoy just being in the garden, and 2) that there are still things going on in it even in January. Thoughts of Spring are definitely starting to filter through. Months of the year.
