Johnny Ma's Blog: april 2009
http://jmchina.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Donderdag 30 april 2009. Tonight I'm leaving for Huashan. Huashan is a mountain near Xi’an and its peak is more then 2000m high and I am planning to get to the top. It's a 10 hour trip by train and I will be accompanied by Ivo and Tim; unfortunately it’ll be 10 hour on a hard seat, because that was our only option. In a few days I’ll be back and write about my adventures on the most treacherous and steep mountain of China. Here are already a few pictures of the mountain. Placed by Johnny Ma. While walkin...

Johnny Ma's Blog: Huashan day 3, Xi'An day 4
http://jmchina.blogspot.com/2009/05/huashan-day-3-xian-day-4.html
Donderdag 7 mei 2009. Huashan day 3, Xi'An day 4. Today we woke up around 4 o’clock in our “luxurious” hotelroom on top of the West peak (see my previous blog). We wanted to check out the sunrise, but the best view was on the East peak, so we had to climb a kilometer or so to the other side. We rushed out of bed, brushed out teeth and put our clothes on, because it was freeeezing outside! It was also still dark outside, so we had to bring our flash lights and it was also raining! And hit the sack. Time w...

Johnny Ma's Blog: Huashan Day 1
http://jmchina.blogspot.com/2009/05/huashan-day-1.html
Vrijdag 1 mei 2009. I'm sitting in an internet cafe right now after a nice relaxing massage. The first day has been very exhausting. let me start with yesterday evening:. We bought traintickets to Huayin (little village near Huashan) and we arrived quite late at the trainstation (around 21:30, while the train leaves at 21:45). The train station where we had to be was Beijing West and HOLY CRAP. It is the largest trainstation and also the largest building i have ever seen in my life! I did not get a speci...

http://jmchina.blogspot.com/2009/05/big-update.html
Donderdag 14 mei 2009. Since I came back from 华山 (Hua Shan) it has just been a normal week. A little bit of school and lots of chilling and relaxing offcourse, hehe. We came back Tuesday morning around 10 o’clock and attended classes in the afternoon. Lots of my classmates have been travelling to all kinds of places and everyone was telling their story and showing pictures, which was fun to see and hear. At home we found out our internet wasn’t working. OMG! A must see for every action movie lover. I...

Donderdag 26 februari 2009. Mandarin Level placement test. After that we went to our school and the building where we had to do our test was a cross the street of our school, which was quite weird I thought. Anyways, when I arrived at the assembling hall I could see the many foreigners already present there and to make it even worse: there were a lot of Dutch and French students! The second part was a writing test, which I was afraid of. I’m really bad in reading and writing and I knew this wou...Before ...

Johnny Ma's Blog: Huashan Day 2
http://jmchina.blogspot.com/2009/05/huashan-day-2.html
Dinsdag 5 mei 2009. Ivo and Tim got up a bit earlier to climb the mountain, because my plan was to take the cable car. It felt like a cold was coming up, but I ignored it and went to the cable cars, but when I got there I found out there was a queue of 2hours. WOW! The line was like 500m long or so, so I went back to the other entrance, where you could climb the mountain, but I was rejected! Before we went to bed we walked around a bit in the dark, so we had to bring our flashlights. It was even more...
