The Stock Chronicles: Settling In
http://beanstocks.blogspot.com/2014/06/settling-in.html
Tuesday, June 10, 2014. One of the first things we did after getting settled was go check out our new home site. With all the rain we had last summer, the building of this home was VERY delayed. Our original closing date was supposed to be less than two months from the time this picture was taken. Yeah, that didn't happen. Every day it wasn't raining, we were at the pool. Which wasn't very often because it rained a lot last summer! I think we only made it to the pool a handful of times. Two weeks after w...

Monday, October 7, 2013. Lou did enjoy all of the rides on the suitcase though. She became very practiced at it. So I know I'm way behind, but there are a whole bunch of things that I need to get recorded, for posterity's sake. First and foremost, back in May, Colson had a birthday. He was born on one of the coolest days of the year. National Star Wars Day! May the fourth be with you! No birthday is complete without pancakes. Especially teddy bear pancakes. Opening presents. Spoiled rotten boy! Jilly and...

Tuesday, November 12, 2013. May is always such a busy month for us between birthdays, end of school year events, holidays, and the extras that always seem to happen. Like having to take a saxophone to an instrument shop for repairs. And the lovely man at the shop sent these two home with kazoos. Oh boy. That was a long forty minute drive home. The sax was fixed just in time for Trenton's eighth grade band concert. It. Was. Awesome. The band teacher at Fox Ridge Middle School is amazing! All winter long, ...

Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Grand Cayman: Day 5. Our final full day in Grand Cayman. It was another very relaxing day. We lounged around in the cabana and in the ocean all day. I read two books while we were gone. (Usually it takes me at least a month to get through one lately. So two books in five days isn't too bad! We did walk down the beach a little ways to do some more snorkeling. Another shot from our hotel room. That would be a lovely view to wake up to every day! Sunset from our balcony. And I was hap...

Tuesday, June 10, 2014. The first month we lived in GA, we got out and explored as a family pretty much every weekend. The kids and I really liked the trail we had found along the Chattahoochie river, so we made sure to take Trent there with us the next time. It really is beautiful! Just make sure and put lots of bug repellant on before you go outside in the summer here in GA. Holy bugs! Definitely not used to that. I miss the CO sunrises and sunsets so much. I was so excited to finally be able try pigta...

Monday, May 27, 2013. Grand Cayman: Day 3. Day three was ultra relaxing. We spent the morning at the spa, late morning/early afternoon at brunch and the rest of the day at the beach. We did a whole lot of nothing except relax and be lazy. At brunch, we somehow got on the subject of Trent's wilder hair days. He had some humdinger haircuts as a teenager. Here is Trent describing some of those hair cuts. All I gotta say is his mom was very nice to let him express his creativity through his hair. ;). Here is...

Friday, May 24, 2013. Back in April, our sweet little Jillian turned 2! We are so grateful for the day she came to join our family. She brings so much joy and laughter into our home. I didn't have to do any decorating for her birthday. Vivian took care of everything in that department. She made the streamers and everything! On the left, she wrote some things about Jilly. The signs read:. So silly and loves Shaun the Sheep". And, "Snuggles a lot with others". She sure loves and knows her baby sister!

Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Last Day of Kindergarten. Oh boy. The last day of Kindergarten sure has a way of bringing on the water works for me. Preston's last day was no different than it had been with the three older kids as far as me being a blubbering mess. Except maybe it was worse. Anyway… Onto the fun part. After the slide show, the kids basically had another field day. Jilly was much better natured about it this time. I love these two together. We miss the Lee family so much! Then she gets all shy.

Wednesday, January 15, 2014. A Few of My Lou. Poor girl. She was not amused by all the time we spent in the car during those last few weeks. Little did she know, it was just a prelude of what was to come once we moved. Stops at grandma Guercio's house tended to leave her looking like this. That's what grandma's are for, right? I love her after bath curls. She's got her sweat band on and is ready to go! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. My Sweetheart and I. A Few of My Lou. The William...

Thursday, October 31, 2013. Preston's last Kindergarten field trip was at the end of May. They went to Ocean Journey. Jilly and I decided to tag long at the last minute, and I'm so glad we did. We had such a fun day with our Buds. It had been a few years since we had been to the aquarium. Preston was so little the last time we went, I don't think he even remembered being there before. P-Diddy with some of his class mates. With some of his class mates and the absolutely wonderful Mrs. Winkler. I am the wi...
