I Wish I Were a Photographer

I Wish I Were a Photographer. Monday, March 9, 2015. Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! This is my first week of participating in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! Without actually hosting it! Pretty cool :) Here goes! Today I'm sharing something close to home, actually, all the way in my home :). Here in Israel, as you've probably noticed, a lot of our windows are covered with strong bars, both to keep bad guys out, and also to keep good guys in! Over at Ralph's place, you'll be glad that you did!

Here in my neighborhood, Chanuka has come to an end. I Wish I Were a Photographer. Monday, October 27, 2014. Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! Welcome back to your favorite little meme! Here we are, back in Seattle, on my family's trip there this past summer. I didn't actually take many architectural photos in the city itself, but we did go to the amazing Chihuly museum, and I've found some in the pictures that I took there. For those of you who may not know, Dale Chihuly. And of course, since we were right there, and this *is* Seattle. By posting your p...

I Wish I Were a Photographer: Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #164

http://iwishiwereaphotographer.blogspot.com/2015/01/whimsical-windows-delirious-doors-164.html

I Wish I Were a Photographer. Sunday, January 18, 2015. Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! Welcome back to our little meme! For our anniversary, not too long ago, my husband and I wandered around Jerusalem a bit, and had dinner. We started out in Yemin Moshe, a neighborhood just outside the Old City. Yemin Moshe is a very beautiful, unique neighborhood, paved in cobblestone, but its best known landmark is its windmill:. Now it's your turn! This is a lovely neighborhood! Automatic Caution Door: July 2010

http://cautiondoor.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 6, 2010. As you may have read in my previous post. I recently took an ill-advised trip to. To take in the sights. The sights consisted primarily of broken-down cars, massive amounts of graffiti on every imaginable surface, more sombreros than you can shake a stick at (seven), and a plethora of unintelligible and/or Spanish road signs. (C’mon, Spanish. You can’t just throw question marks at sentences and let ‘em stick any which way.). So my game-plan was to get out of. 8221;) getting into th...

My First Mix Tape Ever! | Further Dispatches

https://furtherdispatches.wordpress.com/2013/11/27/my-first-mix-tape-ever

My First Mix Tape Ever! Dug this out of a box the other day. It was my first Mix Tape I ever made. I called it Picks… But I spelled it with an X To be cool. It was assembled by the 45s I bought at the mall and a cassette tape of the Miami Vice soundtrack. Here’s what was on it:. We Built This City – Starship (Hands down my favorite song in 1985). Weird Science – Oingo Boingo. Take On Me – Aha (The only song that still seems to get rotation.). Never – Heart (I totally forgot about this song.). Sisters are...

Deserts and Beyond: March 2014

http://desertsandbeyond.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Living Desert Reserve, Palm Desert. Saturday, March 29, 2014. While it is always good to get away for a couple of days and see new sights (or old ones), it's always good to be home. And, hubby and I are just enjoying a nice, pleasant spring day here in the desert.a light breeze, NO blowing sand, mid 70's temps.ahhh.how enjoyable! The birds are at the feeders, the lazy cat is dozing in the sunshine, and our two dogs and glad we are home. And, boy, did we get an earful from Abby, our indoor cat! I found th...

Automatic Caution Door: Kitchen Utensils Are for the Weak. And For People Who Use Them.

http://cautiondoor.blogspot.com/2010/09/kitchen-utensils-are-for-weak-and-for.html

Friday, September 3, 2010. Kitchen Utensils Are for the Weak. And For People Who Use Them. My brother was visiting me for about a week, and we decided to put together dinner for a few friends. Unfortunately, I forgot that my brother knows how to cook. Same thing with dinner. I like tuna casserole, and I have a good recipe for tuna casserole, and so I typically eat tuna casserole for dinner. Sometimes I put in pepper, sometimes not. What can I say? I’m a wild and carefree spirit. 8220;@&*%,” he said.

Automatic Caution Door: Tips n' Tricks

http://cautiondoor.blogspot.com/2010/10/tips-n-tricks.html

Thursday, October 21, 2010. Here’s to secret to writing online articles: Tangential anecdotes. Consider the following example: A few months back, I was visiting my friend in New York. For the sake of anonymity, let’s call him James. (Actually, that’s his real name, but he doesn’t read this blog so it serves him right.). James and I were shopping for various sundries. At a Target in Midtown Manhattan. We were browsing down the aisle, and apparently my friend moved in front of a middle-aged man. Another go...

I wish I were a Walton

I wish I were a Walton. Friday, January 24, 2014. Before January is Over. Since I only posted once in December, I'm going to try and play catch up with Christmas before January is over! A little decor and a couple of crafts. The tree that never changes, even though I'd like it to sometimes! I love those beautifully decorated, classically beautiful trees, but I keep coming back to tradition. The Starbucks tree, that has hardly any room for anything! I got the picture this year, at Grandiflora. I've had th...

I found out this week that he has just accepted a call to be the solo-senior pastor of the Vancouver Wesleyan church, in Washington. Is it not you? 1 Thessalonians 2:19 (NIV).

I Wish I Were Crafty

Thursday, January 28, 2010. Since I was reprimanded in Subway today for not keeping up with my resolution, I figured I would post something. Did you know that you are not supposed to eat lunch meat when you are pregnant? I put this in the super paranoid area of things to avoid - but I have tried to eat less. Supposedly you can get Listeria if it is not heated to steaming. I got my sandwich toasted, think that counts? Not a lot going on around here - other than work, work, WORK! Monday, January 18, 2010.
