This is one face of Manhattan, and there's no avoiding it as a whole - even if the New York that you are in love with is rather a combination of vintage shops, neighborhood cafes and laid-back streets of downtown. Then again, some other 'must see's (like the MoMA, Rockefeller) or things you just can't go missing (like a walk down 5th avenue) will take you right to the heart of what I call 'the NYC claustrophobia'.

All touristic material I ended up having was the one picture. With Big Ben and London Eye in far background - which is at least as blurry as the rainy London whether at night. December 3, 2011 at 5:41 pm ( stories. Some are to be treasured. Some are to be relived. But gone are the moments. The days of innocence. The days of honest fun. The days of cricket in the sun. Looking back at by-gone days. I wish for a return of my innocent ways. The wading through flood waters*. The teachers at school. The pani puri, vada pavs and bhel. Have left in my mind an indelible trail. The one rupee per head cricket matches. The stop-stop and king’s-square smashes*. Playing football in the rains.
