A Knitiot Abroad: April 2014
http://aknitiotabroad.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Knitting, spinning and life abroad. Sunday, 13 April 2014. Initially I was frustrated by my lack of interest in my knitting but now I'm acceptant of the fact and trying to enjoy my spinning as much as I can. Part of the reason I've been so distracted recently is that I've got a new job and we are moving to Jakarta(! In the summer so I've been getting the necessary paperwork together for the visa process. In the previous post I mentioned the Stitched Together SAL. They are a blend of merino, BFL and silk ...

Furry with Ruffles: November 2010
http://craftyaction-helenlr.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 23 November 2010. Back to work with me! Knitting-wise - I suffered a bout of castonitis prior to travelling and cast on my Revontuli shawl - now finished - as well as a jumper in 2ply laceweight - Wollmeise. It is coming along famously and I have to be careful that my other projects continue to progress and that I don't start being an exclusive knitter on this. The yarn is truly gorgeous and keeps surprising me with the range and intensity of colour. More soon readers (or is that reader? Rich an...

Furry with Ruffles: June 2010
http://craftyaction-helenlr.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 20 June 2010. Different Views of Toodyay - Anzac Day long weekend - Part 1. This year I have been privileged to visit Toodyay for two weekends with two very different groups of people and with two very different results on my sanity. Firstly there was the cycling expedition on our Anzac Day long weekend. The original plan of our illustrious leader Colin - he of the RED cycling nicks (no man should EVER wear these! This wasn't a reference to it's quality as it turned out. At another stage in the e...

Hannah's first year: March 2010
http://hannahgitl.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 27, 2010. Figure seemed to rule above all. The fact I was in my late 30s, got pregnant through IVF. And my mum died of a diabetes-related heart attack probably added to their concerns. Three weeks later I decided I was really glad the doctors had watched me like a hawk. Another girl I knew - five years younger, physically fit and with a 'normal' BMI. Or transferring a newborn to specialist intensive care. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Hannah is One (month). Monday, March 22, 2010. Of course ...

Sheep Rustling: Peeping From Under the Table
http://sheeprustling.blogspot.com/2015/04/peeping-from-under-table.html
AKA MazeyPrettyThings at Madeit.com.au and Etsy.com. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Peeping From Under the Table. A month ago I wrote a post about participating in Me-Made-May. I then didn't write anything else during that month, but kept telling myself it would be fine because I would make myself post at least once a week during May to explain what I was wearing that I had made myself. Arnaldo Pomodoro. It tells. It was, presumably, inspired by the gold death mask of Agamemnon. TAFTA Geelong Fibre Forum.

Swatching | Armed with Needles in an Uncertain World
https://knitickyboo.wordpress.com/2013/10/02/swatching
Armed with Needles in an Uncertain World. Just another WordPress.com weblog. October 2, 2013. It appears one cannot have a knitting blog without posting at least once about the joys and perils of swatching. I am not a swatcher. BUT, I am completely ok with pulling out a ball’s worth of project on the discovery that it is going to be too big (it’s never too small). You would think that, by now, I would have just learnt to go down a needle size, but it’s not every project! This is a tale of a swatch though.

Wen's woolgathering: What a surprise
http://wenswoolgatherings.blogspot.com/2009/03/what-surprise.html
My thoughts on my current projects. Friday, March 13, 2009. I got home last night and found that Eno had bought me a skein of undyed mohair. 260g of soft fluffy mohair to play with. Now to work out what to make with it. Comments for this post. I'd love to make that but pink doesn't suit me". Overheard at a wool shop. A constant knitter, learning to spin. Married (to Eno the Wonderdog),Mum to 3 boys (Rusty, Monster and Monkey). No domestic goddess I like to keep things simple. View my complete profile.
