Kalau dahulu, ketika zaman kanak-kanak, sangat suka menyebut perkataan 'local' ni untuk benda2 yang tak 'original'. Local' = 'lopek' = tak 'original'. Agak kelakar bila mengenagkan kembali zaman itu. Ketawa kecil diri ini pabila mengenangkan zaman itu. Pahit, manis, masam dan tawar, semuanya ada. Dan kini umur pun sudah meningkat. Mungkin perkataan 'local' itu masih digunakan untuk tujuan yang sama. Saya: yes I am.

Berturut-turut kiraan yang sama disebutkan oleh beberapa orang pelajar University of Nottingham, Malaysia yang hendak bermain ragbi pada petang itu. Seorang demi seorang, semuanya mengira dengan penuh khusyuk mengikut giliran masing2 ketika membuat aktiviti memanaskan badan. Tiba2, kedengaran suara yang menyebut " one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight" diiringi dengan ketawa kecil dibelakangnya.
