http://izzyinturkiye.blogspot.com/2011/12/afiyet-olsun-izzy-style.html
From Hollis, NH to Ankara, Turkey - A Rotary Exchange Journey. Sunday, December 4, 2011. Afiyet Olsun, İzzy Style. Contrary to what the title may suggest, this post is not about food. I promise I will write about Turkish cuisine very soon. It is amazing, it is delicious, it is fantastic, but no, this post isn't that post. This post is about books. If you know me, you probably have known for a long time my love of words. And if you don't know me, you should figure that out fast. I love. Bon appetit, enjoy!
Izzy in Turkiye: May 2012
http://izzyinturkiye.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
From Hollis, NH to Ankara, Turkey - A Rotary Exchange Journey. Sunday, May 13, 2012. I am from New England, a place where we take baseball seriously. Where we cheer for the Boston Red Sox. or whoever beats the New York Yankees. Where we sing "Sweet Caroline" -BA BA BA! And we'll "Take [You] Out to the Ballgame." I am a Sox fan, and proud of it. I think this might be why I can easily understand the rivalry between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe - the two biggest football (soccer) teams in Turkey. On the edge ...

http://izzyinturkiye.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
From Hollis, NH to Ankara, Turkey - A Rotary Exchange Journey. Thursday, November 24, 2011. Thanksgiving is for sure one of my favorite holidays - I mean really, who doesn't love a holiday based on bloatation? Also that I get to spend time with family and friends is a biggie. But the main purpose of the holiday is to express your thankfulness for what you've got. I really have a lot to be thankful for. I'm so happy to be having this experience - it really is more than I could have hoped for. The other da...

http://izzyinturkiye.blogspot.com/2012/07/evime-donuyorum.html
From Hollis, NH to Ankara, Turkey - A Rotary Exchange Journey. Friday, July 6, 2012. I never claimed to be very good at keeping up with things- my diaries are almost always left half blank, forgotten on a shelf somewhere; my stories end without barely beginning; my videos remain as choppy clips; and my blog, well, my blog doesn't get updated too frequently. And now. it's done. And now. I'm going home? How can I think of 'home' as home? Sizi çok özleyeceğim ama gene döneceğim ve buluşacağız! Follow My Blo...

The first week of the Eurotour has ended and now I find myself in Grenoble, France, staring at the great French Alps. Later this week we will be going for a hike in the Dolomites in Italy. ELEVEN MONTHS IN EESTI. From West Peterborough, New Hampshire (USA) to Tartu, Estonia (August 2011 - July 2012). Monday, October 10, 2011. I fear that I'm becoming lazy with blogging. I have four draft posts started, but I just can't seem to finish them. I have Blogger's Block. Anyway I'll try and get back on track with this post. Conveniently, I just realized that I never even made a post with pictures of my host city! I had all the pictures ready and everything. Sheesh. My "extremely ferocious" dog.

ELEVEN MONTHS IN EESTI. From West Peterborough, New Hampshire (USA) to Tartu, Estonia (August 2011 - July 2012). Thursday, August 23, 2012. Täna: Ameerikas. Homme: Kanadas. I've been home for a little less than two months, but it feels as if I haven't actually been in New Hampshire much at all. Four days after I arrived in the U.S., I left for Martha's Vineyard. There have been things that were easy to adjust to again, but, even in this small span of time, there have been difficulties as well. I also fee...

ELEVEN MONTHS IN EESTI: Gliding
http://estonianchris.blogspot.com/2011/09/gliding.html
ELEVEN MONTHS IN EESTI. From West Peterborough, New Hampshire (USA) to Tartu, Estonia (August 2011 - July 2012). Monday, September 12, 2011. Yesterday I had the opportunity to ride along with my host father in a glider. Obviously I couldn't pass it up. And naturally, I brought my camera with me. The glider pictured isn't the exact one I flew in. We actually flew in a larger, two-person glider (see below) rather than that performance glider. I sat in the front seat. It was a bit cramped. Monday, June 6, 2011. This is a very late quilt for a very special little boy! It's been hanging around my house waiting for me to get it to it's new owner, which will hopefully happen tonight. Mainly made with Echino and Kona solids, I am hoping it will make the perfect play mat/quilt for Linus. The wind didn't really want to cooperate with me, but at least you can see all the bright colors flowing in the beautiful sun. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Creme de la creme. This pattern is by Veera. Izzy in the Kitchen
Saturday, 9 June 2012. I love bread. I mean, I really love bread. Nothing is better than a freshly baked slice of bread with a pat of butter spread on top. On top of that, I love baking bread. It makes me feel like a pioneer woman or something, having to bake their bread every day. That couldn't be farther from the truth, but hey, I can pretend once and a while. One 15 pound loaf (approx. 6-8 slices). 1 (25 ounce) package active dry yeast. 3 cups bread flour. 1/4 cup dry milk powder. 1 1/4 cups warm water.
