Your pow-wow with jow. Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Last weekend, Libby, Jeff, Tom and I loaded up the Corolla and with 4 people, 4 bikes, headed up to Port Alberni for Lumber Cross. Our choice: tight'n'bright. Man, did we ever rock it! Here are the highlights in point-form:. Playing fun games with the girls. Getting dressed up in running costumes. Destroying a family pack of M&M's in less than 24 hours. Seeing (and screaming for) Dawn on the podium for 1st overall woman. Hitting Buffalo Bill's post race.

Your pow-wow with jow. Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Last week, Dan and I went on an awesome hike around East Sooke. We brought along a lunch with some snacks and stopped at a bench on the coastline. We even had a contest to see who could spit our cherry-pits the furthest: Dan cheated and therefore I claim the title. Tom and I did a hike here last year, but no where near as long as this one - 4 hours round trip, including lunch and random stops. I definitely need to come back and explore these trails more.

Your pow-wow with jow. Sunday, July 11, 2010. A couple days ago at the shop, I went to open a drawer (which notoriously gets stuck) and my nail got snagged and pulled partially off. The darker side around the edge is actually bruised skin. It hurt at the time, but now it's all good and feels numb. I'm still deciding if that's a good or bad thing. Your pow-wow with jow. Friday, September 25, 2009. September only means three things: the transition from summer to fall, the celebration of my birth, and the start of SCHOOL! I'm thinking the English class, with it's many 2.5%-merit assignments is going to prove itself the most challenging. I'm also going to be buying a new road bike for the spring.
