Willie hales from Macom, Mississippi, where he was one of 11 children. At the age of 17 he moved to Pittsburgh to pursue a career as a mechanic, spending many years working on heavy machinery. Tsila, was born and raised in Orcha, Belarus where she graduated from the Institute of Russia and worked as an Engineer for over 30 years. After the death of her husband in 1979, Tsila moved to the United States with her two small children.
