Random thoughts: Doctors vs. Engineers
http://pensive-pencil.blogspot.com/2009/05/doctors-vs-engineers.html
Monday, May 18, 2009. Doctors vs. Engineers. Doctors and Engineers - are both important and two of the the oldest professions and required in any society (unlike some like the legal profession! I totally agree that quite possibly, medicine is an older profession than engineering and also that it is more important as it literally saves lives. But, what I do not accede is the fact that doctors get a special title 'Dr.' in their names! Hmmm nw i got d significance of call. :). May 19, 2009 at 8:46 AM. Subsc...

Friday, December 25, 2009. All I really wanted. Wanted was to be able to flaunt a nice pair of aviator-look goggles. As I wear spectacles, I had to switch to contact-lenses first. But, one cannot just walk down the road wearing goggles. I had to purchase a motorbike; one that would suit the style. Before that, I had to learn to ride one as well. Now, the fantasy. Friday, February 20, 2009. Fair and (hence,) lovely (? We Indians often complain of the partisan treatment we get in western countries. We are checked more stringently than other passengers at airports. Even in my personal experience, I was stopped by authorities often and was asked for passport, and a few times quite unnecessarily! But in my opinion, we Indians are more racist in a way! In our country, products which make your skin 'fairer', not just smooth or moisturized, are made, sold and advertised!

Eurotrip: June 2008
http://europeannomad.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 29, 2008. This photo was taken inside the Vatican museum. (Needless to say, it is a "cropped" version of a bigger photo! It pretty much sums up the reaction of being overwhelmed by the fantastic artworks in Roman Musei Vaticani, Musei Capitolini, Galleria Borghese. Florentine Galleria degli Uffizi, Galleria dell'Academia, Museo del Bargello. Sunday, June 8, 2008. It being the la Ville Lumière. Me and some others suggested that we should spend night in Jardins du Trocadero. The dark, bushy ga...

You are supposed to run down the slope of the hill, when it fills up with air and takes you aloft. (Well, what if it doesn't? Didn't worry about that! Just after take off, to make small talk, I asked my tandem pilot-Richie-an old and hearty fellow that why do we need to wear the helmets? The Thun-Brienz lakes and Interlaken area was looking l...

Random thoughts: I'm no superman...
http://pensive-pencil.blogspot.com/2009/01/im-no-superman.html
Tuesday, January 6, 2009. I want to draw your attention to the irrational acts in movies, especially the Superman. When Lois Lane falls from the top of a skyscraper, superman comes rushing and grabs her in mid air in his strong arms! What a wonderful feat of strength, timing and of course, romance! But, isn't it physically similar to the situation in which she falls directly onto two iron rods? Now, the antagonist shown in the movie seems quite innocuous compared to this super-monster!
